FORD LAND LEASES TWO BUILDINGS
DEARBORN, Mich., January 12, 2006 – Ford Land, Ford Motor Company's real estate arm, has signed a 12-year lease with WPP, one of the world's largest communications services group, for 282,916 square feet in two adjacent buildings in Dearborn, Mich. WPP is collocating its agencies in the Detroit market, including JWT, Ogilvy, and Young & Rubicam Brands, into 500 and 550 Town Center Drive. The move is expected to be complete by the end of the year. To make room for the new tenant, Ford Land will move its offices from 550 Town Center Drive to another Ford Land building, Fairlane Plaza South, located at 330 Town Center Drive. Ford Land will occupy approximately 46,000 square feet in Fairlane Plaza and expects to be moved in by April 1, 2006. "We're glad we were able to develop this win-win solution for one of Ford's business partners," said Mike Latham, director of commercial real estate at Ford Land.
