1 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 1 13 year old Michael Jebrone was a normal kid until one day in Boston Massachusetts. His best friend Mitchell Ruso, and the girl he liked Jessica Stewart. Mitchell was also a good student. Mitchell had brown hair and eyes, and contact lenses, but unfortunately for Mitchell, he was a wimp. Jessica had green eyes and brown hair, and he total opposite of Mitchell, instead she was tough as nails and as beautiful as a summers afternoon. She was also great at just about any sport she played! But back to the story at hand, Michael had also realized his entire family was gone as well! But when he rushed over to Mitchell's house to tell him the bad news, he found out that Mitchell's parents where still there! After explaining his problems to Mitchell and his parents they immediately suggested that he call for his Uncle Jimmy. The next day Michael's Uncle Jimmy had arrived at Mitchell's house ready to take Michael to the source of all of Mitchell's, which lied in New York City. Now Michael being only thirteen had never 2 The Battle At Dusk been to New York City, so this was a whole new experience to poor Michael, and his Uncle Jimmy did not seem to care very much, all he really wanted to do was to help him find his parents then be done with him. So on their way though New York City his Uncle Jimmy calls for a cab, but instead of a cab driver showing up they get this abandoned old ghost train just pulls up out of nowhere! Uncle Jimmy instructs Michael to board the train with him. Once on the train they head to the first available cabin, only to discover Jessica and Mitchell to be sitting on the floor playing tiddlywinks and arguing over who has the biggest collection of baseball cards. “Mitchell! Jessica! How'd you guys get here?! I'm so happy to see you!” Michael said. “Whoa! Michael! How'd you get HERE? Last thing we remember we were playing tiddlywinks in Mitchell's happy place at school because the bullies were gonna kick his butt for telling on them about them stealing his lunch, then all of a sudden we hear you shouting and here we are?! This is crazy!” Jessica said, “This reminds me of 3 The Battle At Dusk the 84,349,832 episode of Galactoniomorus! Where Galactoniomorus is trapped in a prison cell and he calls for his best friend Jefferonicousnillomus and then he magically arrears to help him escape! Maybe where in a Galactoniomorus comic book! AWSOME!!!!” Mitchell said. “ I'm afraid its worse than that kids,” said Uncle Jimmy. “What do you mean?,” Mitchell replied. “I mean if we don't do work on these bad guys soon then the whole world will come to an end!”exclaimed Uncle Jimmy. Suddenly the inside of Mitchell's comic book case starts to rumble, then bursts open! “Rattigan what are you doing here?” “I came to help, you better hold my corn son, its time ta go to work!” Rattigan instantly jumps into action to defend his friends from an on coming group of gangs. “Kids, HIDE!!” As uncle Jimmy pulls out his hidden blade to help Rattigan kill the oncomming gangs. It was only a matter of minutes before uncle Jimmy and Rattigan had eliminated their foe's with a few swift chops of uncle Jimmys blade and Rattigan's laser blade!. “What was that Uncle Jimmy?” “I'll tell you once we reach ZADIA!”. A 4 The Battle At Dusk burst of light had appeared and then a sudden area of the earth's atmosphere opened up and uncle Jimmy said “Quickly everyone jump in NOW!”. “Damn son, I just did some work on those gangs! Where's my popcorn!” “I have it Mr. Rattigan sir” said Mitchell in a scared voice. “Damn Mitchell how long I been livin in your comic book case and you still scared of me? I though we got through this already, Dayum” “I'm sorry Rattigan, I just never seen you kill so many things before!”. “There not dead, they have just been 'miss placed' thats all, Now we really must go though the portal NOW! More gangs are approaching!” Said Jimmy. “Dayum son, looks like its time ta go ta work again! Hold my corn!” “No Rattigan we must go NOW!”. They quickly jump though the open portal moments before it closes! 5 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 2 “This is it, Zadia” said Uncle Jimmy. The portal had dropped the party into a cave with no signs of a way in or out. The cave itself was dark and damp. Only a waterfall could be heard in the distance. Luckily, Uncle Jimmy seemed to know were he was going, as if he had been to Zadia many times before. “This way children, we are almost at the exit to this cave. Beyond this, you will see the true glory of Zadia.” Jimmy exclaimed. “ Why have you brought us here Uncle Jimmy, I only wanted to know what happened to my family. And another thing, how did Mitchell and Jessica become involved with this” asked Michael. “Take it easy kid, only one question at a time. The reason you have been brought to Zadia, is because this is were you will learn to become a Jumper. And as for your second question, Your friends play just a big a role in rescuing your parents as you do” said Uncle Jimmy. “Cool!” Mitchell and Jessica chimed in. 6 The Battle At Dusk “Guess its up to me to keep you guys in one piece. Too bad I don't have anymore popcorn, oh wait I do, Dayum” Rattigan added. “Woah woah, Jumpers? Whats are they Uncle Jimmy?” “ A Jumper is a specially selected person who 'jumps' through portals to each of the planets to stop the evil Saint Barnaby from destroying them. You see Michael, I am the lead Jumper of my generation, but I fear my time is coming up. Then Michael couldn't believe what he just heard. His Uncle Jimmy just said that he was going to die soon. “But ... what you just said ... it means that you are going ... gulp die soon.” Then Uncle Jimmy said “follow me I have to show you some people.” Then on their way Uncle Jimmy said “This is Zoor and also her daughter Loor they are the jumpers of Zadia, well at least I know that Zoor is a jumper, if she dies then her daughter Loor will become the next jumper.” To Michael Loor seemed like a brat, but not spoiled just a mean brat. Loor told Michael that she is in training to become a warrior. She looked pretty buff to. With lots of muscles she looked pro to, like that she could win wrestle 7 The Battle At Dusk smackathon in a minute. When she showed me some of her moves because I didn't believe her at first then she even picked me up by my shoulders and spun me over her head. I had to say “Enough, enough I get it you are in training to become a warrior, please STOP!” The next day they got some rest and Uncle Jimmy, Zoor, Loor, and Michael tried to get out of the cave Zoor and Uncle Jimmy lead way. Uncle Jimmy looked as if he had done this 1,000,000 times before, of course Zoor had done this before because she lived on Zadia. Even though they were in the cave Michael could see the light, which that meant that they were close to normal ground. Michael was happy about this. This meant not much longer in that dark, dark cave and did I mention it was cold in there. Wait cold could not explain it, it felt as I were getting frostbite without being close to snow, sleet, or hail, or any other type of precipitation. I thought I was at first and I thought that I was going to die. But then I saw even more light then uncle jimmy 8 The Battle At Dusk said “this is the beautiful territory of Zadia.” 9 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 3 “What do we do now?” Michael said. “Here is where we will try in find out what has happened to your parents.” Uncle Jimmy said. “But wait I just don't understand what is going on! Why are we we here? What does this have to do with my missing parents? Why are my friends here? This is all happening so quickly!” Michael said. “ I have already tried to explain this to you earlier. You are a jumper! This is the role you have been assigned in the grand scheme of things! You are the last piece to the puzzle! Your friends are here because in order for you to become the lead jumper, you friends must become jumpers as well. In order for one to be a jumper their best friends must join them on his ventures as a jumper! Just like Loor and Zoor are here for me, they will be here for you! Now please no more questions, we must get into the city and speak to Roberto Alfonso.”Jimmy said. “Yes uncle we will do our best not to disappoint you.” Michael said. “I'm in it to win it Mike! I'm your pal Rattigan!” “Oh yea I know that but I just get scared every time you pop up, I'm not sure if I can even go though with this 'jumper' stuff. Every time I think of it I wanna piss myself!” Mitchell said. “Dayum don't be such a baby Mitchey! We gotta do this fo your homies Dayum!” “Yea we need your smarts and comic book knowledge Mitchell! Don't be afraid we got your back!” Jessica said. “Yea!”. “Enough talking were almost to Roberto Alfons place. Once we get there no one is to speak to him unless spoken to Understood!” “Yea we got it”. “Halt!” A scary bodyguard said. “We are here to see Roberto Alfonso. Tell him its about the 'jumpers'.” Jimmy said. “Yes sir! Immediately!” The scary bodyguard rushes inside to speak with Roberto Alfons. Once inside Rattigan quickly hides in Mitchell's comic book case and Jessica tightly grabs Michael's hand because she is scared of the paintings on the walls. Each one is different and each one has eyes that follow you everywhere you go! “Ah Jimmy it is so good to see you again! I hope you bring good news!” “You know me Roberto, I only bring good news!” “Great! than lets hear it!” “Well as you know I am getting on in my years, and soon we will need a new lead jumper. And also there have been some unsettling events happening on earth that have lead me to make my decision on who will be my successor as lead jumper. I have come to the decision on my nephew Michael Jebrone.” “What! This cannot be! I was to be your successor!” “Well Roberto things change! Michael and his friends have traveled a long way to learn how to be jumpers! And I will not disappoint them! And anyway we still have to find Michael's parents, we believe they have been captured by, what it looks to be as a gang. Once we find them then Michael's transformation into a jumper will be complete.” “Are you sure 12 The Battle At Dusk this is wise Jimmy?” “ Roberto you know better than to question my judgment!” “I apologize my liege.” All of a sudden Rattigan opens the comic book case and says “Dayum! This place is for babies! I wanna kill some gangs!” “What is this! You bring vermin into my palace!” “Dayum! I ain't no vermin! I'm a magical butt kicking rat!” “Well you look like vermin just don't leave any droppings behind!” Roberto said gingerly. “ I'll be sure to leave a nice steamy one on you pillow for you! Dayum” “Why you vermin, GET OUT! GET OUT NOW!!” “ Rattigan get back in here and stay quiet you have upset Roberto!” Mitchell said. “As you wish Mitch!” and Rattigan quickly scurried back into his comic book case. “Thank you young man that vermin was getting to be a pain.” said Roberto. “His name is Rattigan. He is not a vermin.” Mitchell said. “I apologies. I'm just not use to having vermin, I mean Rattigan in my home. But back to the matter at hand. Jimmy please continue.”. “I have nothing further to say other than to ask for your help in finding Michael's parents.”said Jimmy. “Why of course. Now, why don't you kids get some rest while me and Jimmy here try to think of a good place to search for Michael's parents.” “O.K sir. Good night Uncle Jimmy” said Michael. “Sleep well Michael.” And with that, Michael, Jessica, Mitchell and Rattigan went upstairs to sleep for the night in the rooms that have been prepared for them. The next morning the kids awoke to see and army of gangs attacking! “Quick we have to get to Uncle Jimmy and Roberto Alfonso immediately” exclaimed Michael “Hold my corn son, time for me ta kill some gangs. Dayum” Ratty said as he jumped out of the comic book case, laser sword in hand. “Ratty no!! I'm afraid they will hurt you.” Mitchell said. “Hush up child, gangs can't touch me.” “Whoa Whoa, Whoa,Ratty, I thought his name was Rattigan” Jessica said. “Ratty is his nickname, adurrrrrr.” Mitchell rebutted “Don't worry about me Mitch, I got dis. I'll meet up with you guys once I'm done here.” “Come on guys, we got to keep moving, they're gaining on us.” Michael said. And with that, the 14 The Battle At Dusk three kids ran down the flight of stairs to find Uncle Jimmy and Roberto Alfonso waiting for them. “Uncle Jimmy! There are a whole bunch of gangs upstairs attacking! Rattigan! He needs your help!” Exclaimed Mitchell. “I know what is going on in my own castle. I sent for them.” “WHAT!! ARE YOU TRYING TO GET US KILLED!!” Michael screamed at the top of his lungs. “No children. It is time you learned to defend yourselves, one of the most important tasks of being a jumper is you must be able to defend yourself.” “But I've never fought anyone before in my whole life! I don't know the first thing about fisticuffs!” Mitchell stated. “Don't be silly , every jumper has it built into them. You can fight. Just dive in head first and swinging!” “Well said good friend, But don't forget your weapons. There over there in the chest. One blaster, and lightsword for each of you. Don't forget the extra ammo for your blasters.” Uncle Jimmy said while pointing at the chest in the corner by the window. But I've never wielded a weapon before Mr. Uncle Jimmy, I could get an injury.” Mitchell said. “These 15 The Battle At Dusk things are AWSOME!” Jessica said. “Don't worry Mitchell If you fight as a team all will be well. Now hurry and help Rattigan before he is overwhelmed.” Jimmy said. “Oh if I know ratty, he's never been overwhelmed. He loves to fight, sometimes he gets out at night an kills random 'things' at night just because he loves killin' so much. I think the only thing he likes more than a good slaying is, well me. Hes my best friend, besides Michael, and Jess.” Mitchell said. “Well then it's still best for you to go and check on your friend anyway, you never know how many gangs could be up there right now.” The children rushed up the stairs of the castle with their light swords in hand only to see the sight of one million, and one million more coming, blood everywhere screams of agony, blood gushing from open wounds. “Dayum, where'd I go, uh oh, I am over here, oh no, I am behind you, zaa ,zaa.” Rattigan yelled as he battled the gangs. “Time for Ratty to teach you guys a lesson. Dayum. To be scared is a path to aggression. Misplaced aggression leads to jealousy and greed. Jealousy leads to getting 16 The Battle At Dusk wrecked by Ratty. Dayum. Mitch, wheres ma corn son, I need a snack.” “Right here Mr. Rattigan Sir.” Mitchell said with fear in his tone. “well it ain't doin' me no good over there. Bring it over here son, I need a snack all this killing is making me hungry! Dayum!” “ Ratty we've come to help battle the gangs!” “Dayum, well if you think you can handle it besides I gotta eat come corn anyway. Have at it son. Dayum.”. Rattigan than busted out his kung-fu skills on the rest of the gangs that were approaching. At the same time he used his kung-fu skills and ate his corn, which is a feat only accomplish able by the one and only Ratty a.k.a. Rattigan. If you can eat corn while doing kung – fu then you are related to the one and only Ratty. Mitchell was also in the battle too. Then Michael joined as well as Zoor, Loor and Uncle Jimmy to help rattigan fight the gangs. Ratty then said “Mitch stay back and hold my corn son.” “O.K. Mister Rattigan sir.” So then after the fight Ratty said “Dayum, this was easy Mitch I need my corn now, I'm awfully hungry after that ass kicking..” “Yes sir Ratty sir.” That's right Mitch.” So then they went further in the castle. 17 The Battle At Dusk As they went further the steeper, and skinner the walls got. As a the result of this they have to go into a single file line, this was harder for Uncle Jimmy because he was kind of fat and a little bit out of shape. Another battle came with the gangs. After making it past the staircase, Uncle Jimmy, Loor, and Zoor appear and lead the kids into a secret passageway. “Were did you guys come from?” asked Michael. “We were watching your fight too make sure you didn't get into any serious danger” Jimmy replied. Loor and Zoor nodded in agreement. Suddenly, more gangs just appeared out of no where. It was exhilarating, and exciting all at once. Loor, Zoor, Ratty, Uncle Jimmy and the kids were all fighting with their light swords, especially Ratty. They defeated the gangs and their was blood everywhere. As soon as they continued Ratty was saying “I need my corn now Mitchell.” “Were are you taking us Uncle?” asked Michael. “We are heading to see the Oracle, who should help shed some light on were Saint Barnaby is, and in turn will lead to your parents.” 18 The Battle At Dusk Uncle Jimmy replied. “What is this Oracle, and what is it like” asked Jessica. “The Oracle is a mysterious force that is fabled to know all and see all. It can only be found by those who already know were it is. And luckily, I know were it is, as does Roberto Alfonso. It is believed that the Oracle is here to help travelers, but some say it has its own, long term plan for things. So I guess you could say its a friend” Jimmy replied. “Come along now, enough questions, you can save the rest for when we reach the Oracle. It's not much farther once we reach the end of this tunnel.” Jimmy said once more. The party kept going for several more minutes in silence, before Uncle Jimmy spoke once more. “Ah, we have reached the end of the passage.” Once they opened the door, they experienced a completely knew Zadia from what they had previously seen. This part of Zadia was like a tropical rain forest. There were tall trees, toucans flying over head, raging waterfalls, rich vegetation, etc. The place was gorgeous. “How do you like it children, this is a secret part of Zadia which not many people know about” said Uncle Jimmy. “It's wonderful” said Jessica. 19 The Battle At Dusk “I've never seen anything like it before” said Michael. Mitchell nodded in agreement with Michael's thoughts. Rattigan said “This place makes me want some more of ma popcorn.” He then scurried back into his book case and continued eatin' corn 'till he was needed for battle. “Now, back to business. The Oracle lives in a secluded section of rain forest just beyond this here waterfall. Before you meet him, there are a few rules you need to know. First, do not speak until it is your turn. Second. The oracle is a Godly type figure, when we reach him, you have to bow before him in respect, and wait for him to give you the O.K. Third, you may each ask the Oracle three questions. My questions will obviously be about the whereabouts of Michael's parents and of Saint Barnaby. Now, are there any questions?” Said Uncle Jimmy. “Ain't no way I'm bowin to some mysterious force. Ya digg?” Rattigan disputed. “Rattigan don't fight me on this, it is the way things have to happen.” And with that, they proceeded through the waterfall to were the Oracle was waiting for their arrival. 20 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 4 Once they arrived in front of the Oracle then Ratty instead of bowing he said “ I ain't gonna to you, I don't care if your the Oracle, or my mother, ya dig.”went everyone else bowed because they didn't want to take a risk. “you little twerp I am goi- oh my apologizes sir are you ratty I am so sorry my liege.” Oracle said “ may I get you something master.” “Master, eh?” ratty said “yes you are the chosen one since birth you can do anything.” Oracle said. “Dayum.” ratty said. Uncle Jimmy asked his 3 questions and the answer was simple “yes.” So that made everyone a little bit happier, especially Michael. So Michael still had hope to find his family, oh how he missed his family. Then Michael asked his 3 questions and the answer was different “ it all depends on which side you choose good, ... or evil.” Michael thought he knew what side he was on, good but there could be a chance that he become ... EVIL. Well he knew if he stayed with his uncle, and his friends he would be safe on the GOOD side. Then Mitchell asked his 3 21 The Battle At Dusk questions. The answer was “I don't know what that has to do with being a jumper, but yes in 9th grade you will get a girlfriend.” Oracle said .“Woo, Woo oh yeah 1 point for Mitchell.” Then he answered Jessica's questions with “ yes you will get a boyfriend this year with someone very close that is also a jumper.” Oracle said. “ Oh yeah what I beat you like everything else.” Jessica said. Then ratty got his answer without saying his question “ You shall get ALMOST everything you want. Now, it is time for you to depart, but before you do, have a rest. You must be tired after your long trek here.” “Very well Oracle, thank you for your gracious offer. We will depart in the morning” said Uncle Jimmy. With that said, the Oracle let up a path to a secret room just behind it. In the room, there were 4 beds, a lamp, and some nice furnishings. “Good night children” said Jimmy. “Good night” they replied in unison. The next morning they departed the Oracle's chambers.... “Were are we headed to now Uncle Jimmy?” asked Michael. “The Oracle revealed a likely place were your parents could be located. It instructed us to depart from 22 The Battle At Dusk Zadia, and head for Elaza. When they headed for the portal the gangs popped out of no where and they all sprang into action. Everyone defeated about 100 enemies each. When they were going in the portal Uncle Jimmy said “hurry up everybody the portal is about to close.” so they all did as he said. O.K., then uncle jimmy shouted “Elaza!” 23 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 5 When they arrived they thought they were dead it was all black. Except for Uncle Jimmy of course. He just said “stay calm it is OK., I will find the switch. He pressed a few buttons and presto the light the switch turned on. There was all of this technology and he could not believe his eyes he saw a teleporter which he assumed is were they landed. “So this is Elaza huh?” asked Michael. “Thats right. Now, I believe there is someone here you want t---” before Uncle Jimmy could finish his sentence they were attacked by gangs. Gangs on Elaza looked like Giant Pumas. Ratty jumped out of his case, and engaged the enemies. “Time for some massive nub pwnage. Dayum.” Ratty said joyfully. After what seemed like only 15 minutes, Michael, Jessica, Mitchell, Ratty, and Uncle Jimmy defeated the gangs and were on there way once more. “As I was saying before I was rudely interupted by the gangs, there's someone you want to meet. His name is Chuck Uppercut. He lives in the sky city of Rafflesia.” proclaimed Uncle Jimmy. “Why do we need to see Mr. Uppercut 24 The Battle At Dusk Uncle Jimmy?” asked Michael. “Because I believe he has information ascertaining to the whereabouts of your parents, and Saint Barnaby. Now, everyone, step inside this elevator so we can continue our trek.” The elevator led them outside the structure, and they witnessed the true beauty of Elaza. There was a flying car all started up and waiting for them to take just like one out of a movie. The sky was clear blue and this planet strangely enough had 4 suns. Uncle Jimmy drove the flying car to Rafflesia, were they parked it in a lot specially designed to restrain these vehicles, so they wouldn't fall to the ocean below when turned off. They were held in place by Laser beams which appeared when the party exited the car. “Welcome, to the sky city of Rafflesia.” said a stranger “Why thank you Tim, it's been so long since we last saw each other, it's good to be back.” Uncle Jimmy said. “Jimmy?! I hardly recognized you. So good to see you my friend. What bring you here?” “Well, we're here on official Jumper business, looking for my nephew, Michael Jebrone's parents, as well as Saint Barnaby.” “Who are these other two kids traveling 25 The Battle At Dusk with you?” “I am Jessica , I am Mitchell, I am Ratty fool.” I didn't mean you ratty we all know who you are you are the mascot of Elaza.” said Tim “ Do I get any special treatment” ratty asked. “yes you are the leader of our parade.” said Tim “dayum, I am awesome I get I am the ruler of everybody and everything, Dayum, Dayum, Dayum.” said ratty. “Even though you are our mascot you have to lay back on the swearing.” tim said. “ Crap, Crap,Crap, Crap, Crap, Dayum I really don't know what you think you are because no body tells ratty what to do.” ratty yelled. When they got there in the city for real it was just like new York city except it was not polluted, no factories, and nothing that looked like the Bronx. There were fields everywhere it was full of gardens and their fruits were green they all tried one after uncle jimmy said to he said eat slowly they are really sweet with a bitter aftertaste. They all tried it and it was a great fruit it was like peach, plum, apricot, and any other sweet delicious fruit. It was so good they all ate about 20 fruits when they all had such full stomachs they had to lye on the ground for what had felt like and 26 The Battle At Dusk hour. When one of them said “lets continue and find this dude.” When they continued they walked they walked slowly and steady because when they ran it was worse they couldn't move. They always were walking when uncle jimmy walked and said “ these are the benzenes they are like horses but when they run 20 times faster they mount the same to. Does anyone not know how to saddle on a horse because it is the same with a benzen.” no one raised their hand so then uncle jimmy said 2 to a horse. So Jessica and Michael were on a benzen , Mitchell and ratty were on a benzen and Tim and uncle jimmy were on a benzen. “OK so know lets move forward both people kick at once lightly to go in a trot, harder for a light gallop, a hard kick for a fast gallop lets practice a trot” said uncle jimmy, so everyone did it and they all got in a trot, “now time for a light gallop” uncle jimmy demanded. Everyone good, “now time for a fast gallop and kick pretty hard and do not stop to stop kick 3 times only stop only for emergency's not to pick up a flower only for if you lose a weapon or something.” uncle jimmy said. “Go forward and do not turn 27 The Battle At Dusk unless I say so.” uncle jimmy shouted on their way they saw tons of people hundreds, thousands, maybe millions of people. It was all gorgeous I thought that no one could actually live in such a clean clear environment, not one sign of pollution if they did I bet they would have to die. As they headed for the dudes house uncle jimmy said “we are almost there 1 more kilometer or 2.” I really don't know because I don't know that much about how they measure the distance.” After what had felt like 2 minutes they were their “O.K., we are here now be nice to chuck uppercut if you are not you will get a uppercut to the jaw. As they arrived the door said “password or die by the name of chuck uppercut.” “Chuck uppercut rules the world.” uncle jimmy shouted to the heavens. “Welcome to the Almighty chuck uppercut's house.” So there was chuck he was 7ft 2 and weighed about 250lb's all muscle no fat I think if you say if he had fat you would parish. But this one didn't lead to planet Cheelios. This one led to somewhere unknown. “I'm waiting Jimmy. It was beautiful. It was the most prettiest thing on earth. Now they were in a field. They all went on a search and they all locked down some parts of Cheelios and it was all OK. And that they are still on this search and it was all amazing so that was that, but they have talked to aj and they found out that she was also a jumper and then she said “your parents souls are here try in our library in the staff room and look in a box that looked like someone had just died and they have the souls in them and they need to find their way back to Elaza and find your parents, give them back their souls and that is it, but it won't be that easy. You need to complete this tomorrow and eat and rest up. We will start at sunrise and stop at sunset we will need tons of food, water, and guns, swords and weapons. You will probably need to go to every planet that you have just been to and fight there it will be hard. This is where AJ,uncle jimmy ratty, Michael, Jessica, and Mitchell 40 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 7 In a distant galaxy far away from Cheelios, was a planet covered in trees and water. And on that planet stood two familiar people. “Where are we?” Loor Said? “I'm not sure Loor. By the looks of it I'd have to say that we are definitely not on Cheelios, maybe earth but I think we would have seen something by now.” Zoor said. “I agree. This must be one of the uninhabited planets. We must find a way to get in contact with jimmy and the kids.” Loor said. “How do you plan to get in touch with them? We have no means of communication.” Zoor said. “Well I was planning on possibly finding civilization first and then seeing if they had some sort of interplanetary communication device. After fifteen minutes of running though dense forests and swimming through deep rivers, they finally arrive at the source of the smoke. At the base of the fire was an elderly man and two young children, playing outside a tent and with two beautiful women inside the tents. They then realize that they were at a unknown planet even uncle jimmy didn't know where they were. They saw where Zoor and Loor were over there and they did not seem very good. They went over there and helped and they all fought the kids until the old man said to the children “children stop they are the only people on the planet that is unnamed. You are the only ones that I have seen that are the survivors. This planet is unnamed so lets name it um Quiliaz. It sounds like a good name don't you think, I think it describes this perfectly. Except I think that this planet uninhabited. I hope that I can find you guys a portal to return you to your planet.” The Old man said “Well sir, I know of a way to solve this problem.” Jimmy stated. “By all means please share your knowledge.” “You see, being the head jumper, I know some secrets passed down from lead jumper to lead jumper. One being the fact that you can create a portal to other planets through sheer willpower. Everyone, gather together right here. But before I do it, I need to make sure you are all prepared, because there is no telling were we will arrive. For all I know, we could end up right next to Saint Barnaby and his guards. I know he has your parents souls but you can't afford to be reckless.” Uncle Jimmy said. “Hold my corn son. Time to go ta work.” Rattigan said with a smile. “Yes Ratty, just don't go and get yourself killed now.” Mitchell said worriedly. “Quite nerd.” Rattigan replied “Here's the plan everyone. We are gonna storm the fort, and kill everyone in site. Then when we get to Saint Barnaby.... just leave that to me.” Michael said. “How are you gonna deal with him?” Mitchell asked “I hate to be mean to a friend, but I said leave that to me. Weren't you listening?” Michael replied angrily. “Ok, on the count of three, we are gonna set the plan in motion. 1......2......3!” Jimmy yelled out. They all charged towards the castle getting there swords ready for battle. Screaming the whole way there. When they reached the fortress, guards came out to counterattack. The guards were none other than a bunch of gangs. They were easily surrounded, but fought ferociously. But what happened next, nobody expected. Saint 47 The Battle At Dusk Barnaby himself came out to greet his “guests.” “Well well well, look who is here. How bold of you to attack MY fortress. I commend you for your efforts but now you all must die. First, Michael Jebrone will DIE.” Saint Barnaby yelled. A magical barrier had formed around the big bridge leading to the fortress. Gangs and the party were knocked aside and only Saint Barnaby and Michael were left on the bridge. It was going to be a 1 on 1 showdown between the two. Michael drew his laser sword and began is advance. Saint Barnaby proceeded to take out 2 laser swords. Uncle Jimmy had forgot to mention that Saint Barnaby is a master of the art of duel wielding. The battle began, Saint Barnaby got the first strike in. Michael blocked the strike, and countered with a swift blow of his own. Saint Barnaby recoiled in suprise as he had just been nailed square in the thigh “You fight well boy. Now I will show you my true power.” Saint Barnaby began to transform once more. He sprouted two wings and his two swords melded together to make one massive sword, seemingly 9 feet long. A purple aura had formed around him. You can't hope to win” Saint Barnaby had said in a demonic voice. His transformation was complete. Just then, the barrier had faded and a new warrior had joined the fray. He just appeared out of no were. He stood around 6 feet, carried a laser sword which was around 4 feet and had blond hair. “Stand back young one. You cannot fail here. I will defeat this foe and retrieve your parents souls.” The mysterious man said. He opened up a portal and instructed them all to hurry through while he dealt with Saint Barnaby. “I will meet you all in 2 days time on Elaza. Wait for me there. Don't worry, I will find you.” “This cannot be... How can you possibly be here?! No matter, you cannot fell me now. I will destroy you and Michael Jebrone.” Saint Barnaby yelled out angrily. “Hurry through the portal. Now!” The man commanded. So they all went through the portal as instructed, and waited as told. Then... the man showed up, as he said he would. 49 The Battle At Dusk Chapter 10 “Greetings Jumpers. I'm sorry for not properly introducing myself before, but it was a bad time. My name is The Patriarch. I saw your fight against Saint Barnaby, and I had to intervene. He would of no doubt killed you in his true form.” “What are you?” Michael asked “Well, I am one of the celestial gods of the universe. I am called upon when there is a great disturbance in the Interplanetary equilibrium, as Saint Barnaby had. But, the threat from Saint Barnaby has ended. I have felled him, retrieved the soul gems of your parents from his corpse, and restored balance. Here you are brave Warriors of Old.” The Patriarch had said as he handed the soul gems to Michael.. “Thank you very much for saving my parents Patriarch, and restoring balance. Now what happens.” “Now, the planetary boundries will be reformed until the Jumpers are needed once more. You and your friends will be returned to your home planet and will forget your adventure. But, know this, you have done a great deed and shall be rewarded. I will grant you 3 wishes. Choose them now.” “Hmmmm. You three will be the most popular kids in your school.” With that, they all left and went back home, and forgot all about there adventures through time and space.
