Any and all advertising on the official club page on the UK Alumni Association Web site
(www.ukalumni.net) will be handled exclusively by the Association.
Ad space on auxiliary club Web sites, and/or print or electronic media which use the
official name, marks, and logos and/or imply a relationship with the Association and the
University must meet the following guidelines:
All ads must comply with the UK Alumni Association’s advertising policy. The
Association does not accept advertising for: alcoholic beverages, gaming items,
tobacco products or personal hygiene; advocacy positions (political,
philosophical, religious, moral, etc.); contributions for a purpose not directly
affiliated with or benefiting the University or the Association.
Ads can not compete with association affinity partners or exclusive advertisers.
Send all advertising agreements for review prior to signing to Kelli Elam
Sponsorship commitments should be made with careful consideration using the
Clubs may not solicit sponsorships from any Association partners. Submit all
sponsorship requests for partners to Kelli Elam. Clubs should not directly contact
Association partners. (Note that the Association will retain 10 percent of all
sponsorships secured by the Association from its partners.)
Make sure any local sponsor’s product or service complies with the Association’s
sponsorship policy. The Association does not accept sponsorship for: alcoholic
beverages, gaming items, tobacco products or personal hygiene; advocacy
positions (political, philosophical, religious, moral, etc.); contributions for a
purpose not directly affiliated with or benefiting the University or the Association.
Local club sponsorships must not compete with Association affinity partners.
Get proposed sponsorship agreement in writing. Do not sign any long-term
agreement that requires any financial commitment.
Submit all proposed sponsorship agreements prior to signing for review to Kelli
Use of official name, marks and logos
Clubs of the UK Alumni Association may use the Association logo in its official and
unaltered form and in conjunction with the name of the club for official business. Prior to
use of the official logo and/or producing any item using the logo, whether for sale or
other distribution, clubs must get written permission from the Association for specific
Use of the Association logo is prohibited on or in connection with the promotion
of tobacco products, gaming items, alcoholic beverages, or personal hygiene
products; advocacy positions (political, philosophical, religious, moral, etc.);
contributions for a purpose not directly affiliated with or benefiting the University
or the Association.
The logo can not be used in connection or in promotion on any product or service
that competes with Association partners.
The Association, as the owner of its name, marks and logos, reserves the right to
determine the appropriateness of any proposed use.

Official Club Web sites
The Association has the resources available to help a club produce a Web site. The
Association hosts and either the club or the Association can maintain a club’s official
Web site at www.ukalumni.net.
