Esa/Gv con il nuovo cnc Serie 500 ha rinnovato la sua gamma di Controlli Numerici, rivolta ad applicazioni generiche di taglio/
fresatura fino ad 8 assi e 128 I/O local. Lo ha fatto tenendo ben presenti le seguenti linee guida.
l Mantenere una totale compatibilità a livello SW con l’attuale famiglia KVARA 6 .
l Risultare rispetto a quest’ultima molto più configurabile e scalabile sostituendo alla varietà di modelli la flessibilità ed interconnettività di un
numero limitato di moduli funzionali.
l Rendere disponibile, alla bisogna, una capacità elaborativa decisamente superiore.
l Ridurre sensibilmente gli ingombri in particolare in armadio.
l Interfacciarsi digitalmente agli azionamenti della nuova Serie Esa-Motion.
l Rinnovare il look, in particolare dei pannelli operatore proponendo, a livello opzionale, anche cabinet eleganti, facilmente personalizzabili e ben
ingegnerizzati già pronti per l’integrazione in macchina.
Esa/Gv, developing cnc Serie 500, has completely reviewed its Numerical Control family specifically addressed for milling and cutting
applications.
The main guidelines of the project have been:
l To maintain a full compatibility, at SW level, with the present KVARA6 NC.
l To increase configurability and scalability through the development of a limited number of very flexible modules.
l To make available, when necessary, a sensible higher computational power.
l To heavily reduce sizes and consequently necessary room inside the cabinet.
l To interface the new Esa-Motion Series drives.
l To update, under esthetical point of view ,the Operator Panels, giving the possibility to supply them already integrated inside a well engineered
and easy to customize pendant cabinet. So a solution ready to be installed on a machine tool!

Trattasi di moduli “agganciabili” al CN Base e ad esso bloccabili attraverso 2 viti.
Sono caratterizzati da stessa altezza del CN, minore profondità (106 contro 156 mm) e spessore
intorno ai 20 mm. Sono disponibili le seguenti tipologie di moduli:
These modules can be mechanically connected to the NC Base unit through only two screws. They
have the same height of the NC module but smaller depth (106 against 156 mm). The thickness

Tramite la connessione seriale veloce ESA Ring è possibile la gestione di tutto l’I/O remoto realizzato per la precedente famiglia KVARA. In
particolare continuano ad essere supportati sia i nodi di tipo “Modulare” realizzati intorno al modulo gestore nodo (codice BRD.019.025)
che quelli di tipo “Monolitico” ovvero che possono essere direttamente collegati sul ring.
Caratteristiche del ring:

l Distanza massima tra un nodo e il successivo 20 m.
Through the high speed serial connection ESA Ring it is possible to manage all the remote I/O developed for the foregoing NC family KVARA.
More in particular are supported both kind of nodes. The “Modular” one, that require the node manager part code BRD.019.025 and the

6) INTERFACCIA CAN - CAN INTERFACES
Sono previsti di base 2 canali autonomi sui quali collegare sia I/O che assi .
Per quanto concerne l’interfaccia di comunicazione è implementato il protocollo CanOpen std DS301 inclusivo delle principali funzioni mo-
tion del device profile DSP402v2.0. La presenza di 2 canali consente sia di gestire separatamente I/O da Motion che di distribuire gli assi in
modo da garantire un tempo di campionamento adeguato anche in presenza di connessioni di lunghezza non trascurabile. Situazione che
potrebbe presentarsi interfacciando in CAN motori con drive integrato quali ad esempio i nuovi servomotori Esa/Gv Serie ED.
On both kinds of NC are foreseen, two autonomous CAN channels where is possible to connect both I/O or axes .
Concerning the communication interface is implemented the CanOpen DS301 protocol including the main motion functions of the device
profile DSP402v2.0.
The presence of two channels allows to manage separately I/O from Motion or, in case of more than 4 CAN axes to distribute it in order
to guarantee and adequate sampling time also in case of a physical connection length of 100 meters or more. Situation that can happens
connecting through CAN motor with integrated drive as, for example, the new Esa/Gv servomotors ED Series.

I PC industriali Serie 500 sono stati progettati per essere montati sia in armadio (affiancati al CN) di cui hanno esattamente le stesse
dimensioni, che “a zaino” del pannello operatore codice. In quest’ultimo caso è così possibile superare la limitazione dei 10 m di distanza tra
Pannello Operatore e CN. Utilizzando una connessione ethernet è infatti possibile raggiungere i 100 m di distanza.

10) COMuNICAzIONI CN / PC - N.C. / P.C. CONNECTION
La connessione tra Serie 500 Base e PC (indipendentemente dal tipo) può avvenire esclusivamente tramite linea seriale.
La connessione tra cnc Serie 500 Plus e PC ( indipendentemente dal tipo) si consiglia venga invece realizzata tramite rete,
anche se ovviamente, continua ad essere fisicamente possibile anche via linea seriale.
Per evitare che comunque la connessione entri in conflitto con l’eventuale rete aziendale a cui si potrebbe voler collegare il PC tutti i PC
industriali Esa/Gv sono di base equipaggiati con 2 distinti adapter di rete.
The connection between the Serie 500 Base vesion and a PC (independently by the model) can be done
exclusively through a serial line. The connection between the cnc Serie 500 Plus vesion and a PC (indepen-
dently by the model) is suggested to be done through Ethernet, also if it can be obviously done through a serial line.
To avoid conflict with other Ethernet connections all the new Esa/Gv PC are equipped with two network adapters.
