The House that Twitter Built to raise funds for 12 survivors on anniversary of disaster
05.11.2009 – The House That Twitter and Facebook Built Twitter Pitch From May 12, 2009 to May 14, 2009, The Disaster Relief Shelters Foundation, a 501C3 charity, will raise funds through the sale of books and DVDs to build permanent homes for 12 Elderly Sichuan Survivors.

News Facts Roland Catellier, the founder of of DRSF, says that many families are still in dire need of sturdy homes that have adequate toilet, cooking and heating for elderly and young people left homeless after the massive quake in May of last year.

Catellier developed an interest in the plight of rural Chinese when visiting several years ago during the Three Rivers Dam project. At that time elderly citizens were passing away early who had been displaced from their ancestral homes. Catellier, a retired Real Estate broker from Florida, dedicated 17 years from 1971-1988 to charitable causes worldwide. He returned home when his wife was diagnosed with cancer. He started his real estate career and began after raising his seven children as a single parent, he now feels called to volunteerism again.
