The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace Although predominantly a place to shop and dine, this indoor mall has a few unique attractions to offer as well. Foremost are the animated statues and laser show at the center pavilion. "Statue Animations" are about every half hour and are nearly unbelievable (or should we say believable). Watch Bacchus come to life and chat amongst the other gods and goddesses while above you a fantastic laser light show brings the ceiling to life too. The newest attraction is the free Atlantis show outside the new IMAX Theatre. Here you can watch a tale of Atlantis rise from the sea and as the Gods decreed sink back to the ocean bottom and afterwards venture into the IMAX for an Atlantis oriented thrill ride. Also while there, keep an eye on the sky-like ceiling which very subtlety changes from dawn to dusk over the course of about a half an hour. Legend Trails Legend Trail Golf Club is the first Arizona design for acclaimed architect Rees Jones and has been described as a challenging and highly memorable golf course and was named as Arizona's 7th best Public Access course in the "Valley of the Sun". Legend Trail Golf Club flows through the natural desert landscape and forest of Saguaro cacti and Palo Verde trees. It is a wonderfully playable layout with many subtle and traditional features unique to itself. Terravita This 18 hole championship layout is the design genius of two of the busiest men in the desert community, Billy Casper and Greg Nash. Sun Ridge Canyon Sun Ridge Canyon was created by wind, water, rock and time, following Nature's own course. Like Nature, much about Sun Ridge is straight forward. The fairway and green-side bunkers are in strategic positions where they force you to consider both the risk and the rewards of executing your next shot. Tonto Verde Tonto Verde features a state of the art GPS yardage and course information system on all of the golf cars. Tonto Verde is surrounded by magnificent mountain vistas and rich desert vegetation and is located between the Mazatazal and McDowell Mountains. Raven at South Mountain The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain is unlike any Arizona golf experience. This course in the desert is designed not to be a desert course. The Raven Golf Club layout features plush, rolling fairways framed by thousands of mature pines, African Sumac and Oleander trees as well as vistas of rugged Desert Mountains and the Phoenix skyline. Out of play areas are covered in beds of thatched pine needles and countless flower gardens. Desert Mountain There are three Nicklaus-designed courses in this 8,000-acre community development in north Scottsdale. The Renegade has the highest course rating in North America (77.6) from the gold tees to the gold greens. The Chochise is cradled in the foothills of the Tonto National Forest. Fast greens are tough to read, and approach and short chip shots are tricky. A third course, the Geronimo, was opened in 1990.
