Broad bean and bacon pasta Preparation time: 10 minutes Cooking time: 20 minutes Serves: 4 adults or 6 children Harvest: 2 handfuls of broad beans in their pods . Store cupboard ingredients 300g tagliatelli pasta 200ml crème fraiche 80g bacon 80g grated favourite cheese 1 onion Salt Instructions 1. Bring a pan of salted water to the boil and add the pasta to the pan 2. Chop the bacon and onion and fry in a frying pan. 3. Wash the broad beans and remove the stalks. Either chop as they are or remove the beans sepa- rately and chop the pods up. 4. Blanch the pods in boiling water (this reduces the toughness that puts most children off eating them) 5. Then add the beans and pods to the bacon and fry. 6. Grate your chosen favourite cheese and add with the crème fraiche to the frying pan. 7. Stir and make sure the crème fraiche is heated 8. Drain the pasta and add to the frying pan and mix through. 9. Serve immediately.
