HOW DO I GET TO MY CPS EMAIL ACCOUNT?
There are 3 basic ways that you can access your CPS email account:

2. From any computer with internet access, type the following into your internet address bar:
https://fc.cps.edu/ (Save into your favorites if it is your home computer)

the first option that is given is the First Class CPS site – choose that web page.
I DON’T HAVE A COMPUTER AT HOME. HOW CAN I ACCESS THE INTERNET?
There are many students throughout the city who do not have computers with internet access at home.
Ways they find to check the internet include:
Computers in Class School Library Chicago Public Library
School Computer Labs Relative/Friend’s Home
If you do not already have one, apply for a Chicago Public Library card so that you can have access to
the internet - even on Saturdays. Note: Avoid fee penalties on the card so your access is not blocked.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I CHECK MY CPS EMAIL ACCOUNT?
In the professional world, the expectation is to check your email account daily. If you are submitting
school or program applications, you may be emailed for more information or even for acceptances.
Therefore, you should check your email account daily if possible, otherwise at least 3 times a week
(Monday-Friday). It is normal for you to go through periods where you may not receive any
professional emails and then for you to go through weeks where you are being emailed regularly.
Key times for Career and Technical Education students to especially aim to check their email daily or at
least 3 times a week include:
January-March (job shadow placement period)
March-May (internship placement period)
