1. SHOOTING MODE
Confirm that shooting mode dial is set to "A" (automatic).

2. LOCATION OF SUN
   Ideally the sun should
       A) Be behind you or
       B) Over your shoulder or
       C) To your side

If the sun is behind the building (backlit situation) you can try locking in the exposure by:
        A) Composing the picture so that the building takes up the entire frame or
        B) Pressing the shutter button 1/2 way down. This locks in the exposure and focus.
While holding the shutter button down, recompose the shot and take the picture.

3. COMPOSITION
   Either horizontal or vertical.

4. ZOOM
In or out for the best composition

5. ANGLE
Look to shoot the building from an angle, instead of directly head-on. An
angle will help show a side of the building - adding depth to the image.

6. OBSTRUCTIONS
Try to eliminate as many obstructions as possible. Try to compose shot without:
      A) Cars in the foreground
      B) Street lights in the middle of the frame
      C) Trees blocking the view of the building

Many times the obstruction cannot be eliminated. However, moving to your left or right
will help move the tree or street light so that it is not in the middle of the frame.
Also, kneeling down and shooting at a lower angle (looking up at the
property) can help move a street light so that it is not as obtrusive..

Try to avoid shooting the building head-on. When photographing a small
   building try:
        A) Shooting from the sidewalk at an angle (when safe move back into the street)
        B) Kneeling down (for a low angle)
        C) Holding the camera in the vertical position.

   7. STREET SCENES
Avoid standing in the middle of the street and shooting directly down the street. Instead
frame the shot at an angle so that you see:
           A) The property
           B) Buildings on either side of the property
           C) A view of the street
