                                                             Coming into our own
                                                             Having done this for what seems like forever,
                                                             we’re celebrating our 50th edition which is a
                                                             milestone in independent newspaper land. In
                                                             hindsight, the challenges that one encountered
                                                             made other hard work such as building roads
                                                             in a scorching sun look like a holiday and quite
                                                             frankly anything would have been better but then
                                                             the growth and the invaluable experience that
                                                             came with the work has been so enriching and
                                                             really worth it. Because of the nature of things,
                                                             the one coping mechanism that one has learned
                                                             is to focus on the positive and just take it one
                                                             day at a time. One can’t help it but be grateful
                                                             for everything, the good and the bad and I have
                                                             the feeling that we truly have come into our own.
                                                             We’ve evolved and continue to. Understanding
                                                             that life is about doing your part and you can
                                                                                                                                   WHERE IT all sTaRTED: The first edition of

So it's no surprise that their groovy

festival Up the Creek, which takes place
next weekend.
