You will support an exciting agenda and strategic growth focus for the University in the areas of contract training
on diverse topics in business, leadership, health & social services and applied sciences. You will also develop non‐
credit professional development courses and other programs to meet community needs and grow market share.
You will be responsible for all aspects of program research and development, finances, management, promotion,
and evaluation of a portfolio of programs open to the public. In addition, you will seek new corporate client
prospects, meet with prospective clients, conduct sales presentations and develop training proposals. You will
plan and manage programs for their employees. You will act as a consultant to corporate clients, providing
services such as needs analysis and assessment, benchmarking, training design, instructional design, and training
You will raise the profile of McMaster University by engaging with professional associations, making public
presentations and contributing to and managing a marketing and business development plan for corporate
training and professional development. You will benefit from working closely with a dedicated group of colleagues
who share your passion for adult education, academic entrepreneurism and organizational performance.
Since earning your university degree in a related field such as adult education, organizational development or
business, you have developed an optimal blend of experience in the development, delivery and evaluation of adult
education and training programs, consulting, sales and marketing. You have well‐honed skills in needs analysis,
instructional design, program planning and program evaluation that may be recognized with a professional
designation such as CTDP. Strategic, well‐organized and resourceful, you excel at delivering results. A strong
performer, you are also a team player and have the communication skills to be effective in the university and
