May 23, 2008 Dear Mr. Katherine Colihan: I would like to personally welcome you to the Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel. The Horned Dorset Primavera is a Mediterranean-style estate hotel directly on the Caribbean Sea. To insure the peace - and your peace of mind, the hotel has no formal activities. The hotel does offer spectacular views, elegant surroundings, a sumptuous cuisine and discreet European service as befits a Relais and Chateaux hotel. A variety of off-premise activities may be arranged through the reception including sea kayaking, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, golf, tennis, and half day excursions to the Arecibo radio telescope, the Taino Indian ceremonial grounds, a restored 19th century coffee plantation and the historic city of Ponce with its splendid art museum. Chef Aaron Wratten, formerly of the restaurant Daniel in New York has added Caribbean accents to Classical French Cuisine. Outside Oceanfront dinning is available upon request for 2 persons (surcharge applies) The hotel offers many amenities: three fresh-water pools, beautiful tropical gardens, a library bar and several adjacent beaches for swimming, strolling, snorkeling and kayaking.
