Residences at the Horned Dorset The 17 newly created, two story Residences are located within the hotels existing buildings that front the sea and are scattered among the hills fronting the Straits of Mona. The seven acre site of the hotel has been augmented with additional space adjacent to the hotel that will be used for parking, tennis and a heliport. The hotel is twenty minutes from the Mayaguez airport which is ideal for private aircraft and thirty minutes from Borinquen Airport in Aguadilla which has Jet Blue and Continental direct flights from JFK and Newark daily. The individual residences vary from 930 to 2000 sq feet of interior space and are in three styles: ocean front, ocean view and ocean view with garden. Generous dipping pools and large terraces accompany each residence. The prices range between $800,000 and 2.5 million for the Presidential suite (of just under 4000 sq feet.). Interiors have fine quality Italian teak and mahogany custom furnishings. Moroccan rugs and lamps in the Spanish Mozarabic tradition. The large bathrooms and all floors are in Spanish white marble with Kohler surround showers, oversized tubs and spun glass lavatories. An adequate but small kitchenette provides the possibility for impromptu cooking. Designed by local architect Osvaldo Colon, a protoge of Leslie Lasky from Washington University, the residences have a softness that is characteristic of his design. Interiors designed by the hotel are in keeping with the luxury associated with the Horned Dorset. All residences have high speed internet and two bathrooms, some with two bedrooms. The management agreement insures that your residence will be well-maintained, and, that it will have the ability to generate revenue. By agreeing to place the residence in the rental pool all but 90 days a year. 50% of the income produced (after expenses are deducted) will be credited to your account and will be free of Puerto Rico taxes. The hotel has two major swimming pools, beach front amenities for swimming and Kayaking and major food and beverage service in two restaurants or f» suite.
