The following changes are incorporated into TOTAL Planning System release 2.0.130
effective with this release. (Refer to the current “Read Me” file for additional changes.)

Import / Export:
A new “Wizard” has been added allowing you to move data to or from other programs
including:
     Silver Financial Planner – import data To TPS)
     Albridge (formerly Statement One)
           o Import one or more contacts From Albridge To TPS
           o Import asset data From Albridge to update an existing contact
     Outlook – move data To and From TPS
     Laser App – export data From TPS To Laser App.
     Import/Export a company word processor document (in RTF format)
     Export data to a Tab-separated file

The use the Wizard:
Click on [File] then [Import] or [Export]:

   This form (similar one is used for each of the import/export functions) lists all the
   contacts in TOTAL Planning System or the program you re importing from. You
   may:

      Click on [Select All] to move all contacts in the database
      Click on one or a few contacts (using the [Control] key) to select one or a few
       contacts.
      Click on [OK] – and the files will be exported or imported.

Note: Albridge is an Asset Aggregator program that collects data on the clients holding
from the B/D, banks, and other sources, compiles the data into reports and summaries
each night. You must be a subscriber to Albridge to use this function. Generally the
subscription is arranged by the B/D and then made available to the registered reps.

Company Documents – this function enables you to create a word processor document,
save it in Rich Text File format (RTF) and import it into the system. Two types of
documents are specified:
    Action Plan – used to list your suggested steps for the client to take.
    Disclaimer – generally required by a B/D for meeting their compliance
         requirements. If this document exists and is requested to be included at the time
         the plan is printed, it will be automatically placed behind the cover page.

To create and save the documents:
      Create a new company document or use an existing company document. The file
       needs to be saved as Rich Text Format (*.rtf). If you have created the company
       document in Word, you can save the file as Rich Text Format by choosing Save
       As, and change the Save as type to Rich Text Format (*.rtf). Note – if the
       disclaimer document has been provided by your broker dealer in Word.doc
       format, resave it in .RTF format.

      Import the company document into TPS. Go to File and choose Import Data.
       The Import Wizard will open and you will find the option for Import Company
       Document from a File (*.rtf).
      The Import Wizard will ask you to select a document type. Highlight the
       appropriate type for the company document of Action Plan or Disclaimer. Click
       the Browse button to select the company document you created. When you locate
       the company document, highlight it and choose Open. This will take you back to
       the Import Wizard - choose OK.
      A message will display stating if your file was successfully imported – choose
       OK. The company document will now be available as part of the Print Selections
       area.
      Run your TPS reports to get to the Print Selections. Click Print Selection and
       choose the list of reports you would like to print. A separate Company
       Documents item will be listed under Report Categories. Add the available reports
       (Action Plan/Disclaimer) to your print list.
You may change the order in your Ready to Print List using the up and down arrows just
to the left of the Ready to Print list to position where the company documents will be
included.



Quick Entry Wizard:
This is used to enter abbreviated contact data in a special set of brief entry forms.
Especially useful for a customer who does not want to take lots of time with detailed
information.

The only information asked for is that which is necessary for completing a plan, and
items that may have multiple issues (stocks, savings, retirement accounts, etc.) are
entered as the total for each type, not as individual assets.

Rates of return will be determined based on your default rates entered into TPS.
To use the Quick Entry Wizard, click on [New Contact] – the Quick Entry Wizard
request form appears.

      [Yes] will start the wizard.
      [No] will continue to the normal detailed TPS data entry forms.

As shown below, the entry forms are simplified and abbreviated. In most cases it will
take only 10 to 15 minutes to enter data (if the data has already been collected from the
contact..)




The buttons at the bottom allow you to move to the next or previous form, cancel the
entry or use the pull down [Jump to] button to move to any other form.




The additional forms include:
    Personal Assets
    Household savings and investments
    Retirement Accounts
    Liabilities
    Dependents
    Earned Income
    Tax Information / Itemized deductions
    Life Insurance
    Other Insurance
    Disability coverage
    Personal Expenses

      Other income and expenses

When the data has been entered into the final form and the [Finished] button clicked, the
data will be imported into the regular TPS data input forms just as if you had used the
forms initially.

At this time you may go to the forms and make any adjustments or additions needed to
fine tune the data. You may also go immediately to reports and view or print the final
plan results.

Easy Money – Retirement Capital Estimate report:
A new column has been added “Scheduled Distributions”. Previously these amounts were
used to reduce the expenses, but a number of customers requested that we show the
amounts as illustrated below for additional clarity..

This report has been reformatted to clarify the data and make the report more readable in
both programs.
