Dr Trent Daisy Flores File Lawsuit
Against School District 6-29-10
With tonight’s school board agenda indicating a possible conclusion to the
saga of Globe Unified School District and Dr. Timothy Trent, a whole new
angle is revealed.
A record’s request from the Clerk of the Court has produced a lawsuit filed
by Dr. Trent and County Attorney Daisy Flores against the School District
and board members. The lawsuit was filed last Friday, which was the
deadline for filing on the original Notice of Intent from last November. The
lawsuit names Globe Unified School District as a government, and Ron
Nelson, Cayci Vuksanovich, Frankie DalMolin, Jacque Griffin, Anna
Harmon, and David Fletcher individually.
Trent and Flores allege four counts against the district, including, Breach of
Contract, Breach of Implied Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing,
Defamation, and Intentional Infliction of Emotional Distress. The factual
background contained in the complaint mentions the lawsuit filed by Gerald
Bouma against Trent and Flores. It also alleges that the auditors hired by the
district asked inappropriate questions to the College Prep Academy Dean
Tamara Glinski about having a relationship with Dr. Trent previous to being
hired by him in Globe.
The judgment being sought by Dr. Trent and Daisy Flores are far-reaching
and open ended. They request all unpaid incentive pay, an amount sufficient
to compensate for pain and suffering Trent and Flores have and will continue
to suffer as a result of the defendants’ acts. They ask reasonable attorney’s
fees and costs incurred in this action, and all damages they have and will
continue to incur as a result of the district’s and School Board’s acts and
omissions. No specific dollar amount is listed.
It is unclear how the revelation of this lawsuit will affect things at tonight’s
special board meeting. Trent is requesting approval for retirement, and to be
held harmless and provided legal defense in the Attorney General’s
investigation of his conduct in the Globe Unified School District.
