      TENDER QUOTATION FOR PROCUREMENT OF TOUICH
           SCREEN MONITORS BY SURVEY OF INDIA
       Addl. Surveyor General, APGDC, Survey of India, Uppal, Hyderabad invites Sealed tender
on prescribed proforma for SUPPLY/INSTALATION/DEMONSTRATION of Touch Screen
Monitors (both LCP & CRP) in Survey of India Geo-Spatial Data Centres, and Special
Directorates located at various Stations in India as per details/specifications furnished below : -

2.0          OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

      (i)      Tender duly signed by tenderer(s) must be addressed to the Addl. Surveyor General,
               APGDC, Survey of India, Uppal, Hyderabad and not to any individual by name and
               should be send by 1500 hrs so as to reach the office of the Addl.Surveyor General ,
               APGDC , SOI on 17-03-2006 or dropped personally in tender box situated at the right of
               main entrance of APGDC by 15.00 (hrs) on 17-03-2006. Each page of the tender must
               be signed by the tenderer(s).
      (ii)     The Addl. Surveyor General, APGDC, Survey of India shall not be responsible for any
               postal delay for non-receipt of tender by due date and time for whatsoever the reason.
      (iii)    It will be the responsibility of the tenderer(s) to place the TOUCH SCREEN
               MONITORS for demonstration if called for at his cost, at place(s) as specified by Addl.
               S.G., APGDC, Hyderabad.
      (iv)     Successful tenderer(s) shall ensure that sufficient number of Touch Screen Monitors
               (both CRT & LCD-TFT models) are available for installation at various places listed
               out by the Addl. S.G., APGDC within a time of two weeks from the date of issue of
               Supply Order.
      (v)      The Touch Screen Monitors likely should be of International Standards and compatible
               with the CPUs of existing computers at various places.
      (vi)     Three years comprehensive warranty period.
      (vii)    Earnest money @ 2% of the tender value in the shape of Demand Draft/Call Receipt of
               any Nationalised Bank in favour of E&AO, APGDC, Survey of India, Uppal, Hyderabad
               should be furnished along with the tender(s). The same will be returned to the
               unsuccessful tenderer(s).
      (viii) Security deposit @ 10% of the tender value in the shape of Demand Draft /Call Receipt
               of any Nationalised Bank in favour of E&AO, APGDC, Survey of India, Uppal,
               Hyderabad is to be submitted by the successful tenderer within 15 days of finalization of
               the tender.
      (ix)     If the successful tenderer fails to furnish the security deposit then the whole earnest
               money shall be forfeited without any reference to the tenderer.
      (x)      Repairs of any sort should be carried out immediately and completed within 2 days from
               the date of reporting of complaints by the tenderer(s) during the period of warrantee.

      (xi)      In case of major break down of any TOUCH SCREEN MONITOR the replacement of
                the TOUCH SCREEN must be provided by the Supplier within a week time failing
                which Addl. S.G., APGDC shall have the right to rectify the defects and the cost of such
                repairs shall be recovered from the supplier through the security deposits.
      (xii)     The tenderer should furnish a certificate that all the terms and conditions of the tender
                document are understood by the tenderer and he will abide by the same without any
                variation/ deviation.
      (xiii) An agreement (Annexure ‘A’), which is enclosed with the tender document is to be
                executed by the successful tenderer at his cost.
      (xiv)     The Addl. Surveyor General, APGDC, Survey of India reserves the right to reject any or
                all tenders without assigning any reasons.
      (xv)      In case the tender document is down loaded by the intending tenderers from Survey of
                India Web Site www.surveyofindia.govt.in then they are to pay tender document cost in
                the form of D.D./Pay Order in favour of E&AO, APGDC, Survey of India, Uppal,
                Hyderabad for Rs.200/- at the time of submission of tender, failing which their tenders
                will not be considered.
      (xvi)     Latest income tax clearance (Photocopy) is to be submitted along with the tender.
      (xvii) In case of any dispute, the matter will be settled by the Surveyor General of India, Dehra
                Dun in the initial stage . However in case of any legal issued the jurisdiction is restricted
                to Hyderabad (AP), India, only.
      (xviii) Payment will be made to the successful tenderer on report of successfull installation/
                demonstration report of the Touch Screen Monitors from the concerned GDCs where
                Touch Screen Monitors have been installed.

General Remarks :

●     Touch screen should respond to finger or soft-rubber tipped pen stylus.

●     Durability should be at least 50 million touches at one point.

●     Should be able to work with all mouse driven software driver emulating the mouse.

●     Should be able to work alone, and / or with keyboard and mouse.

●     Allows to perform the mouse functions : Left click, Double Click , Drag and Drop,
      Right Click

●     Low power consumption.

●     No proprietary video card should be needed.

●     Other features like, Digital Onscreen display,

                             With brackets included.

      in coming 10 years.

●     It should provide drivers of Touch Screen Monitors to be operated at any computer
      as per users choice.

                                                                             ANNEXURE ‘A’

                                         AGREEMENT

(Agreement to be executed on Rs.1000/- Non-judicial Court Stamp)

       An agreement made on this ………….. day of ………………………….                            BETWEEN
………………………………………..………………… (hereinafter called the contractor which
expression shall include his legal representatives) of the one part and the President of India
(hereinafter called the Government) of the other part and WHEREBY the contractor agrees to
supply/install/demonstrate the Touch Screen Monitors to various GDCs and Special Directorates as
listed out by the Addl. S.G., APGDC, Survey of India, Uppal, Hyderabad as per the Technical
Specifications listed above.



On the terms and conditions hereinafter mentioned viz. : -

           a. That this Contract shall remain valid for a period of 3 years (Comprehensive
               Warranty period) w.e.f. the date of successful installation of the Touch Screen
               Monitors to various GDCs as listed out by the Addl.S.G., APGDC on successful
               bidding.
           b. In case of major break down of any TOUCH SCREEN MONITOR the replacement
               of the TOUCH SCREEN must be provided by the Supplier within a week time
               failing which Addl. S.G., APGDC shall have the right to rectify the defects and the
               cost of such repairs shall be recovered from the supplier through the security
               deposits.
           c. That the Addl. S.G., APGDC, Uppal, Hyderabad – 500 039, Andhra Pradesh shall
               have the right to reject the Touch Screen Monitors are not in accordance with the
               Technical Specifications as per tender document No. S-3/Tender-Quotation/39-A
               (Computers)/APGDC/2005-06 date 13-01-2006 related to acquiring of Touch Screen
               Monitors in true intent and meaning.
           d. That the tenderer will deposit a sum of 10% of the total value of the Touch Screen
               Monitors    as interest free security deposit for compliance with the terms and
               conditions of this contract.

          e. The Addl. S.G. APGDC reserves the right
                     to allot supply order, in case of default within the stipulated time mentioned
                     earlier, to the next successful tenderer whenever it is found necessary.
          f. That the successful tenderer will be entirely responsible for the execution of this
              contract in all respect in accordance with the terms & conditions of this contract and
              shall not assign or sub-let the same to any other .
          g. If the successful tenderer becomes insolvent or he/she or his/her Agent offers any
              bribe in connection with the contract or the contractor fails to observe or perform any
              condition of this contract then notwithstanding any previous waiver of such default
              or action being taken under any other clause hereof the Addl. S.G., APGDC, Uppal,
              Hyderabad- 500 039 Andhra Pradesh may on behalf of the Government terminate the
              contract and forfeit the said earnest money and / or security deposit and recover from
              the contractor any loss suffered by the Government of India on account of the
              contract being terminated.
          h. List of qualified engineers to attend to any problems, station wise, shall be provided
              by the successful tenderer(s).
          i. In case of any dispute, the matter will be settled by the Surveyor General of India,
              Dehra Dun in the initial stage . However in case of any legal issued the jurisdiction is
              restricted to Hyderabad (AP), India, only.
