Streams in Final Commerce:
Students must select one of the streams listed below and pass the required 25 ECTS modules in that stream.
• Accounting
• Economics
• Management of Human Resources
• Management Information Systems
• Marketing
Courses are offered subject to sufficient demand and availability of staff.

Final Year Commerce: Subject & Stream Requirements:

Three Year B. Comm. Degree Third Year: 60 credits required
• 15 obligatory credits
• 25 credits from one stream
• 20 credits either from the same stream or from the list of electives
B.Comm International Degree Fourth Year: 60 credits required
• 15 obligatory credits
• 20 language credits
• 25 from a single subject stream or the list of electives or both
Required for graduation:
• Pass: 60 ECTS Credits in Final Year
• Pass Mark: 40% (But: Allowed To Pass up to 10 ECTS credits at 35%)

Stream Requirements
• B.Comm students CANNOT graduate without meeting stream
requirements i.e. 25 ECTS required for each stream
• Students are not permitted to register for any more than 60
ECTS with the exception of students wishing to do the LLB
- Students wishing to do the LLB MUST register for 65 ECTS,
which must include 25 ECTS of Law. These students must also
fulfil the stream requirements
• Students who wish to register for 65 ECTS to be eligible to
apply for the LLB must go to the School Office to seek
permission

• Pass mark is 40%;
• Students are allowed to compensate up to 10 credits at 35%;
Students with up to 10 ECTS of Compensation will NOT be
permitted to repeat these modules.
• Where more than 10 credits are compensatable, student may
choose which subject to repeat for Clear Pass to reduce
compensatables to 10 credits.

Years Work:
Students must obtain 35% or more in the written examination
before marks for Years Work may be added to determine the
overall mark in the subject

• To be based on the combined results of the Second and Third
Commerce years, the overall mark to be derived from adding
together 50% of the Second Year marks and 50% of the Third
year aggregate marks

• To be based on the combined results of the Second and Fourth
Commerce years, the overall mark to be derived from adding
together 50% of the Second Year marks and 50% of the
Fourth year aggregate marks

70% First Class Honours (H1)
60% Second Class Honours Grade 1 (H2.1)

Third Year Repeat Examinations
• Students must present for the initial examination in a module unless permission has
been granted from the School Office.
• Medical certificates should be supplied to the School Office if and when seeking
permission to defer an exam;
• If exams are deferred complete degree results will not be available until after Autumn
Repeat Exam Boards i.e. September from the Exams Office only
