Sites like Youtube.com, Docstoc.com, Feedburner.com and others are splitting advertising revenue with those that publish content on their sites. This revenue sharing encourages contributors to those sites to produce more and higher quality content than ever before, because there is a possible monetary reward for what they post. Take this very document for example. You should be viewing it on docstoc.com (otherwise it has been embedded elsewhere). Above the document, to the right of the document and below the document are Google Adsense links. If you were to click these links you would be taken to websites which deal with the subject matter of this document. (Feel free to check out the links for yourself). I would receive 50% of the revenue from that click, Docstoc would receive the other 50% and the owner of the ad gets traffic to their site. Everyone is a winner. Some webmasters of User-Generated websites might not see the immediate benefit of sharing part of their earnings with people who might otherwise post things for free. I can tell you that I wouldn’t have posted this document or any other documents if there hadn’t been the possibility of earning additional earnings for myself. By allowing contributors to share in the profitability of your site, you will only increase your own profitability. By allowing users to participate in revenue sharing through the easy to use Google Adsense, you will begin to see increased traffic to your site by contributors, and the general internet public as well, as they look for the quality content being added to your site at rates higher than ever lmhstrumpet
