ALREADY STRESSED ABOUT NEXT YEAR’S TAXES?
EARN A DEDUCTION BY DONATING A CAR TO GOODWILL!

FORT MYERS- Taxpayers across Southwest Florida are crunching the numbers, and
many are discovering that they’ll owe taxes on April 15. Goodwill Industries of
Southwest Florida offers taxpayers a chance to earn a significant deduction for next
year’s taxes-- by donating a car.

Because Goodwill is an IRS-approved 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization, donors can earn
a tax deduction by giving to Goodwill. The Goodwill Auto Sales and Vehicle Center in
Fort Myers accepts cars, motorcycles, RV’s, campers, and boats on trailers.

The tax break is just one of many advantages to donating a vehicle to Goodwill. Instead
of dealing with the stress of selling, donors don’t have to haggle over value, pay for
classified advertising, or worry about strangers coming to their homes. Goodwill also
provides free towing, so donors don’t even need to drive their vehicles to the dealership.

Donating to Goodwill also benefits the community. After Goodwill pays a flat fee for
towing and title work, 100% of the proceeds are used to fund services for people with
disabilities and other disadvantages. Some cars are re-sold at the Goodwill Auto Sales
Center, while others are placed in Goodwill’s “Four Wheels For Work” program, which
helps qualified individuals to obtain reliable transportation.

To donate a vehicle, contact the Goodwill Auto Sales and Vehicle Donation Center at
(239) 936-4861 or (239) 995-2106, ext. 273.
