            following topics:
             - End of the year Chapter FFA Banquet Remarks
             - Remarks to a civic organization who knows very little about the FFA.
                         (ex. Farm Aid, UNICEF)
             - Motivational presentation to a freshman agriculture class.

Please read over and initial after each statement in the box provided. If you agree to the code of
ethics sign and date at the bottom of the page.

* Abide by the Code of Ethics as outlined in the FFA Officer Manual;

*Attend all meetings, functions and activities necessary for the successful operation of
            the State FFA Association;
*Be dedicated to the total program of Agriculture Education, including FFA;

*Wear Official dress at all times when serving in the capacity of a state officer, except
           when special exceptions are made by either the State FFA Advisor, State Executive
           Secretary or State FFA President;

*Maintain a well groomed, neat appearance at all times;

*Avoid all places and activities which might raise questions as to moral character or conduct;

*Forego use of all alcohol, tobacco, and drugs while serving as a state officer, whether on official or
          unofficial business;
*To treat all FFA Members equally by not favoring one over the other, and by considering romance
             of any type as off limits while at official or unofficial FFA activities.
*To behave in a manner which conveys and commands respect without any air of superiority.

*Be on time for all duties, assignments, and responsibilities;

*Notify the State FFA Advisor, Executive Secretary, or State President if unable to attend a
            meeting, activity or fulfill a responsibility.

*Promptly respond to all correspondence and submit all reports on time;

*Inform the State FFA Advisor, State Executive Secretary, and fellow officers of my activities,
            correspondence, and participation connected with the FFA;

*Follow instructions as directed by those responsible for the State FFA Officers;

*Continue to develop skills and acquire knowledge which will help me to become a better officer
           and person;

*Willingly accept criticism and evaluation of my performance;

*Strive to work with my fellow officers exhibiting a positive, cooperative attitude and encouraging
            others for the good of the FFA organization.

*Treat all FFA members equally;

*Exhibit respect for others and professionalism at all times by abstaining from foul or rough
            inappropriate stories, and racial slurs while a State FFA Officer.

*Have a reliable source of transportation or make arrangements for travel during year of service.
