                  Event Sales Coordinator
                     Job Description
Job Summary:


Assist the Sales Department in generating and closing sales opportunities. Maintain a
current database of customers and generate new sales opportunities through mailings,
telephone calls, and internet. Enter sales contract and activities in sales database
program. Coordinate events. Other tasks may be added at the Sales Manager's discretion



Specific Responsibilities:

   o   In conjunction with Reps, work directly with clients on all details of their event/
       program.
   o   Manage client relations once sale is complete, to ensure all aspects of contracts
       are realized.
   o   Trouble-shoot and resolve any client conflicts that may arise.
   o   Work with incoming calls from non-assigned medium size groups to sell picnics
       and outings, as well as inbound catering events.
   o   Research and recommend new client/business opportunities.
   o   Direct and implement department functions.
   o   Oversee development of promotional material and implement sales-related
       marketing efforts at the direction of the Sales Manager.
   o   Responsible for the regular monitoring and management of:
        Department expense budget
        Sales attendance and revenue
   o   Serve as the primary internal liaison and relationship person with other
       departments for successful implementation and operation of group sales programs
       and related needs.
   o   Oversee inventory of office supplies, forms, contracts, etc.
   o   Assist with development and updating of group sales plan, including department
       budget, marketing plan and reporting needs.
   o   Support other departmental needs as requested from time to time by management.
   o   Assist and/or represent the Sales Manager where required.
Position Requirements:

   o   Minimum of Associate or Bachelor college degree, with successful experience in
       a professional office environment, preferably within the attractions industry.
   o   Minimum 2 years in similar position including office or project management.
   o   Understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applicable
       software required.
   o   Outgoing and aggressive personality along with excellent interpersonal skills and
       professional appearance.
   o   Must have valid driver’s license.
