The Event for Network/Affinity Group
By Diversity Best Practices and Working Mother Media
February 25-26, 2008, New York, NY
Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers
Date: [date]
Diversity Best Practices (DBP) and Working Mother Media (WMM) are holding
the 3rd annual Network and Affinity Leadership Congress (NALC). More than
200 participants from around the nation, representing Fortune 500 corporate
and organizational involvement, participate in leadership training,
workshops, networking and cutting-edge discussions.
Network Affinity, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and Business Resource Groups
(BRGs) serve critical functions within top-performing Fortune 500 companies today.
These groups are recognized for assisting recruitment and are effective in improving
performance feedback, employee development and retention, multicultural
marketing and employee productivity. More recently, these groups are tasked with
reaching outside of their organizations to cultivate customer and community
relationships and serve as a resource for better understanding the needs and pulse
of diverse markets.
NALC provides training to individuals and leaders who are responsible for developing,
reinvigorating, and sustaining their network and affinity, employee and business
resource groups. Attendees from around the nation, representing Fortune 500
companies and organizations, will participate in leadership training, hands-on
workshops, interactive networking roundtables, and cutting-edge discussions to
facilitate the sharing of best practices and benchmarks. Whether launching a new
ERG program, re-invigorating a long standing group or aligning a group's mission
with their organizations’ business goals, NALC will send leaders back armed with

solutions and answers. Among the many topics to be addressed are leveraging your
affinity group to reach customers, harnessing the power of executive champions and
maximizing affinity groups for global impact.
