					             2011 WORKSHOP APPLICATION FORM

About the Workshops

The Programme for the Development of Knowledge Sharing Skills will be offering a series
of workshops in 2011 to enable people to capture and share project knowledge more
effectively.
Three types of workshops will be offered:

        Knowledge Sharing for Your Work: Techniques and Tools
        Writing to Share Knowledge Effectively
        Participatory Techniques in the Field

Application deadlines:

Workshop applications should be received by 15 December 2010.

Please submit this form, signed by your supervisor, to: ks-asia@fao.org


Selection criteria:

Applicants will be selected by a committee composed of representatives from the Asia and
the Pacific Division of IFAD and the FAO Office of Knowledge Exchange, Research and
Extension. The committee will select applicants based on the following criteria:

    (i) relevance of training to current professional responsibilities,
    (ii) previous experience or commitment to knowledge sharing,
    (iii) likelihood of having an immediate opportunity after the course to apply the
               knowledge sharing skills learned, and
    (iv) working on IFAD funded projects or FAO projects Asia and the Pacific.


Funding:

The training will be offered in several venues in Asia, and is being offered to all selected
participants at no cost. We can cover all related travel and accommodation expenses only
for those affiliated with IFAD projects.

Dates:

We are still finalizing the dates of the workshops. We will email exact dates to all
applicants as soon as they are final
