STRUCTURED REPORTING

The Ultrasound Procedure Report Supplements have the following status:
 Supplement 26: OB-GYN Ultrasound Procedure Reports has been approved
    for final text.
 Supplement 71: Vascular Ultrasound Procedure Reports has been approved
    for final text.
 Supplement 72: Adult Echocardiography Procedure Reports is at Letter Ballot
    stage.
 Supplement 78: Fetal and Pediatric Echo Procedure Reports, is at draft stage.

WG12 is also working on the following Structured Reporting related Change
Proposals:
 CP 377: OB-GYN Vascular Measurements.

WG 12 members are participating in the newly reconvened Working Group 8 and
are developing our own Ultrasound Patient Clinical History Templates for
Supplement 75.

SUPPLEMENT 84: ULTRASOUND REGION SCALING CLARIFICATION

WG12 has proposed Supplement 84 that clarifies the use and meaning of the
Ultrasound Region Scaling Module. The current wording in the Standard is very
ambiguous and WG12 feels that this has hampered implementation and inter-
operability. This Supplement is now at Public Comment stage.

SUPPLEMENT 43: MULTI-DIMENSIONAL ULTRASOUND DATA

WG12 is starting to increase emphasis on completion of this Work Item now that
our most essential Procedure Report tasks have been addressed. We also plan to
incorporate ultrasound imaging specific waveform data into this Supplement rather
than as separate IODs/SOP Classes.

ULTRASOUND RELATED CHANGE PROPOSALS

WG12 has recently proposed Change Proposals dealing with the following issues:
 CP-392: Addition of Ability to Identify Significant Frames in a Multi-Frame
  Image.
 CP-xxx: Addition of Scan Geometry Attributes to US Region Scaling
 CP-xxx: Addition of Contrast Method and Type to US Image IODs
 CP-xxx: Pixel Characteristics for Original Lossy Compressed Images

The next WG 12 meeting will be on October 2nd and 3rd in Vancouver, BC.
