Graphics and Logos: Summary of Guidelines
Introduction to the Trademarks The Trademarks are the words “LEAVE A LEGACY™.” The letters of the words are all in capital letters in New Times Roman font with the ™ symbol immediately following the word “LEGACY.” When the mark is used in text it must be capitalized and the ™ symbol used. The Sunrise Design is as follows:

The registered LEAVE A LEGACY™ “mark” is a graphic depiction of a sunrise, exactly as it is shown. The sunrise mark may be used only as displayed below. The size of the sunrise mark may be increased or decreased as necessary, but cannot be modified in any other way including cropping. Any alteration of these standards must be approved in writing by CAGP-ACPDP™ National office. The Trademarks of the words LEAVE A LEGACY™ and the Sunrise Design as follows:
The words “LEAVE A LEGACY” are under the graphic sunrise. The words are in all capital letters in New Times Roman font with the ™ symbol immediately following the word “LEGACY.” The words must be in the same relationship to the sunrise as shown above. LOGO and TAGLINE Usage The registered LEAVE A LEGACY™ logo is a sunrise with a TM mark in the lower right-hand corner. The TM symbol must be present at all times.

The logo should NOT be tampered with in any way: The WHOLE sunrise design must be showing for the logo to be valid The graphic sunrise should NOT be: Photoshopped Cropped Distorted Colours The LEAVE A LEGACY™ logo colours are: Black, Green (PMS 342), Cranberry (PMS 215), and Yellow (PMS 130). Words – the LEAVE A LEGACY™ Program name The words “LEAVE A LEGACY™” should be: Centred under the sign rise Times Roman font Bold Capital letters immediately followed by™ symbol superscripted next to the “Y” These guidelines should be followed in ALL communication items including: text, print, e-mails, websites, documents, advertisements, reports, etc. LEAVE A LEGACY™ should never be split between two lines of text. When using the words LEAVE A LEGACY™ the word "program" should follow: The LEAVE A LEGACY™ program LEAVE A LEGACY™ program of Greater Toronto Area LEAVE A LEGACY™ of Greater Toronto Area program Colour Combinations The sunrise must be the same color as the words OR The sunrise can be coloured and the words can be black

Reverse Layout The sunrise mark and LEAVE A LEGACY™ words can be reversed. The colour of the backgrounds can be Black, Green (PMS 342), Cranberry (PMS 215), or Yellow (PMS 130).

Tag Lines The official tagline: “Make a Difference in the Lives that Follow” The tagline has no restrictions when written within text. The tagline must be in title case when in: headlines, footers, advertisements, brochures, websites etc. Combining the LEAVE A LEGACY™ and the CAGP-ACPDP™ Logos LEAVE A LEGACY™ programs are affiliated with the CAGP-ACPDP™ RoundTable. LEAVE A LEGACY™ programs should include the official CAGP-ACPDP™ logo. The CAGP-ACPDP™ program logo can appear in conjunction with the LEAVE A LEGACY™ logo.

Referring to the LEAVE A LEGACY™ program In ALL uses, the name of the program should appeal in all CAPITAL letters. The ™ symbol is in the superscript position should immediately following the word “LEGACY.” Partners may acknowledge their involvement in the LEAVE A LEGACY™ program by using phrases such as: [Partner/organization] is a proud partner of the LEAVE A LEGACY™ program [Partner/organization] is proud to participate in the LEAVE A LEGACY™ program [Partner/organization] is proud to promote the LEAVE A LEGACY™ program

Copyright laws must be observed. Products containing LEAVE A LEGACY™ logos, taglines, and slogans must not contain the copyrighted images or text unless permission for their use has been obtained (i.e. the user has signed a Right of Use Agreement or a Partner License Agreement). CAGP-ACPDP™ will provide logos in various electronic formats. These versions should be used wherever the LEAVE A LEGACY™ logo appears. Users should not attempt to construct their own logos using typefaces that appear to match the logos supplied by CAGP-ACPDP™. Any requests for LEAVE A LEGACY™ trademarked items may take up to three working days to process. Issues regarding unauthorized use of the LEAVE A LEGACY™ name or logo will be the responsibility of the National Board of the Canadian Association of Gift Planners and will be dealt with as necessary to comply with the license trade mark agreement between CAGP-ACPDP™ and NCPG®. The term “LEAVE A LEGACY™” should only be used in reference to the public awareness message. Organizations do no have permission to use this term for other purposes (i.e. the name of a fund of campaign).
