 Visit Sherpa Heritage House and Museum in Khumjung. The last traditional house in the Sola Khumbu, this is the family home of

About the Trek Leader
                            JOE BON ING TON , TREK LE ADER
                            Your host and founder of the TrekFit program is one of Sydney’s leading Personal Trainers and an
                            experienced trek and outdoor leader. He has led and been involved in expeditions to Everest Base
                            Camp, Kilimanjaro, Kokoda Trail, and the first assent of Danga II (6194m) Nepal. Closer to home he has
                            also led trips to the extreme outback of the Cockburn Ranges in the Kimberleys.

                            Joe’s blend of knowledge of the outdoors, training in health, fitness and positive psychology make him
                            a unique and motivating trek leader. His infectious drive coupled with solid knowledge base ensures
                            you are in safe and capable hands from beginning to end.

                            He has appeared as an outdoors and fitness expert programs such as Today Tonight, Business
                            Breakfast and as the Wilderness safety officer and Trek Leader for Channel 9’s CAMP DARE series. He
                            is also Wilderness Rescue and remote area First Aid trained.
