Beverley Ann Farn passed away from cancer in the early hours of Sunday, October 4, 2009
at Sundre Hospital, cradled in the gentle and loving arms of family and her exceptional
caregivers. Bev is survived by devoted husband James; sons Casey and Cameron; daughter
Laura; daughter by marriage, Susan; and granddaughter Ezry. She is also survived by
loving siblings Tom, Marilyn and Barbara; along with cherished nephews, nieces, cousins
and close friends. Beverley was predeceased by mother Alta Smith (1971); father Carl
Fagan (1980); as well as her Uncle and Auntie, Guy and Millie Haynes. Beverley was born
on August 17th, 1943 in Innisfail, Alberta. As a young nurse and cowgirl, she caught the
attention of cowboy James Farn, and they were married on January 19th, 1966. Along with
nurturing three children, Bev also had the magic touch with sewing, home decorating,
gardening, and making strong friendships. She was inspiring to many with her generous
nature, nashville-style strumming and singing, and enduring inner-strength. Family, friends
and the Sundre community are heavy-hearted; we will miss our mother, wife, sister, cousin,
auntie and friend more than words can say. Please join us in celebrating Beverley's life on

From: A Cow(girl)'s Prayer
Oh Lord ...
Make me as big and open as the plains ...
Clean as the wind that blows behind the rains,
Free as the hawk that circles down the breeze.

He died, as he lived, everyone's friend.

Treasure him, God, in your garden of rest,
For in our world he was the best."
