Seminar Schedule: The above schedule was accurate at the time of printing. We make every effort to present
the topics as listed at the assigned times. Due to unforeseen circumstances, times, speakers and/or presentations
are subject to change.
CLE Hours: This schedule is pending LA MCLE approval for 12.5 hours of CLE credit, including 1 hour of
ethics and 1 hour professionalism. CLE Credit in LA is included in your registration If you would like CLE
credit in another stare, please include $25 for each additional state you would like CLE credit in.
The Jazz & Heritage Festival: The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is one of the world’s greatest
musical celebrations and a showcase of Louisiana culture. It’s been more than three decades of singing, swinging,
eating, dancing and frolicking in the sun! For 10 days, over 4,000 musicians assemble to share their music with
over 500,000 music and fun lovers from throughout the world. Enjoy 12 stages of soul-stirring music: traditional
and contemporary jazz, rock and roll, This year is expected to be bigger and better than ever! Cajun, pop,
zydeco, folk, country and gospel music. Festival goers can also enjoy regional foods and a giant arts and crafts

Hotel Accomendations: Experience the Renaissance Pere Marquette, a beautiful, contemporary, hotel near
the French Quarter, just one block from Bourbon Street and two blocks away from the Jazz Fest shuttle. A
historic downtown New Orleans hotel, the property was originally built in 1925 and features a sophisticated jazz-
inspired atmosphere with 272 stylish rooms and luxurious amenities. Contemporary décor, spacious baths, an
outdoor pool and an authentic Creole restaurant - MiLa. Each floor celebrates a legendary jazz musician and
features unique snapshots by popular local photographer Romney which allows you to "Dream with the Legends
of Jazz.” Due to the high demand for hotel rooms during the Jazz and Heritage Festival, please
make your room reservation NOW by calling the hotel directly at 800-228-9290. Make sure to
mention the “Criminal Defense Lawyers” in order to receive the special room rate of $197 for a
single/double guest room. The deadline for receiving the special room rate is April 8, 2009.
Reservations made after this date will be accepted based on hotel availability. ROOMS ARE LIMITED, PLEASE
REGISTER EARLY! The hotel check-in time is 3:00 pm and check-out is 12:00 pm.

CANCELLATION & LATE REGISTRATION: Registrations received after April 8, 2009 without a
registration fee included will incur a $50 late registration fee. All registrations cancelled on or after April 8, 2009
will incur a $100 cancellation fee. LACDL will not issue a refund for “ No Shows.”
