                                                                                The Inspiring Executive Leadership program is aimed at senior officers
                                                                                and newly appointed (or early career) SES-2 or SES-3 in Queensland
                                                                                Government departments or government-owned corporations,
                                                                                who are aspiring to move through senior executive level roles.


                                                                                Upon completion of their program it is expected that graduates
                                                                                will have the skills, knowledge, courage and vision to demonstrate
                                                                                outstanding leadership in the Queensland Public Sector.




INfOrmaTION about the program
The Inspiring Executive Leadership program is designed to provide participants with a pathway that will develop
their leadership skills across four (4) key facets and thereby enhance their career opportunities within
the sector. Participants can take one or all four of the modules* within the program.


The four (4) modules (key facets) that have been identified are:

   • Inspirational Leadership
   • Innovation Leadership
   • Government Leadership
   • Strategic Leadership

These modules will provide participants with the understanding and skills to manage the
challenges they face within their organisation regionally, nationally and internationally.
This, in conjunction with mentoring from current leaders within the organisation and
support from the professional association - the Institute of Public Administration Australia
(IPAA) Queensland - will present participants with a highly relevant mix of formal study
and informal professional development that is key to meeting their career aspirations.

                           How to apply
                           1. Download the nomination form from the Public Service Commission’s website at www.psc.qld.gov.au
                           2. Complete the nomination form and submit it via your senior executive for
                              endorsement by the Chief Executive Officer of your agency.
                           3. A separate nomination form is required for each module.
                           4. All nominations are to be sent to the Public Service Commission from your agency’s Chief Executive Officer.


                           When do I apply?
                           Nominations for the first module - Inspirational Leadership commencing on 15 March 2010 – are to be sent to
                           the Public Service Commission by Monday 22 February 2010. You can also start nominating for other modules
                           in the Inspiring Executive Leadership program now. Full details of the nomination process, including closing
                           dates for all modules, are available on PSC’s website. For further information about the program please
                           contact the Public Service Commission on (07) 3224 2397 or at inspiringleadership@psc.qld.gov.au



                           Investment
                           $4,950 per module – Fee includes program director, tuition, course materials, morning tea, lunch and
                           afternoon tea each day, a formal networking activity and professional development events. Please note GST
                           does not apply to Corporate Education courses through UQ Business School Corporate Education.
