                                      Quick Reference Guide
This guide is to be used as a quick reference but is not intended to replace the
User’s Manual that came with your Palmtop.

The Palmtop is a Windows CE computer running the Portable IMPACT communication software.
If Portable IMPACT is not currently running, you will see the Windows Flag in the upper left-
hand corner of the screen. To return to the IMPACT software:
    1. Click on the Windows Flag
    2. Select Portable IMPACT. If Portable IMPACT is not listed, go to “Restoring Portable IMPACT”
in the Troubleshooting section of the User’s Manual.

Create a Configuration
A configuration is a set of vocabulary pages. Typically, all of an individual’s pages will be in one
configuration. Evaluation sites might choose to have more than one configuration set up, if they
are working with a number of different clients with the same device. The device comes with ten
standard configurations installed to help you get started.

When creating a new configuration, you have two choices:
  1. Create a new configuration using a Standard configuration as a starting point:
     - go to File Menu
     - select Standard Configurations
     - select the configuration you would like to start with.

With Option 1 you will need to save your new configuration:
     - go to File Menu
     - select Configurations
     - select Save Configuration As
     - give your configuration a name.

  2. Create a new blank configuration:
     - go to File Menu
     - select Configurations
     - select New Configuration
     - type a name for the page
     - select the arrow next to the Page Type and select the page layout that you prefer for
       this page.
