2 Browser Types

2.1 Optimised Browser Types
CMT (Community Management Tool) is optimized for Microsoft Internet Explorer V 6.0 and it is
expected that all screens will work as per a normal internet session using this browser.

2.2 What happens for non-optimised Browser Types
Non Microsoft browsers may work for most of the time, however known issues have been
reported by Firefox and Google Chrome users. Users may get the following message when
logging in via non Microsoft browsers:

“Browser requirements:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. Using older browsers, non-compatible browsers, or
disabling browser features, such as Javascript or Cookies, may reduce your functionality”

3 Setting up your Internet settings

4 User Names and Passwords

Accessing CMT can be done by entering via the GS1 Australia website. To access CMT you will
need a correct User Name and password.

Tip: Create a safe (and logical) location for the storage of your User Name and
Password details, as it may be many months, or even years, before they are
                 required a second time.

Step 1: Click on the Logon button

                                            - 11 -
Step 2: Type in your User Name and Password into the ‘Welcome..” page (Bottom left hand
side)

                                           - 12 -
5 Changes to Company Name
If your company name has changed since it was first set up, it would be logical to want to modify
this.

Note: The impact of performing the above step will mean a loss of all previous testing
data with your trading partner. Therefore all previous records and confirmations that
your company correctly completed testing will in fact be lost and you may be
required to perform this process again.
