Course objectives
This qualification is designed to reflect the role of personnel working in the radio and television industry who operate
broadcast facilities in an isolated location. They may be involved in the production, presentation and transmission of
programs and they may conduct some technical maintenance for remote area broadcasting operations.


Exemptions
Students may apply to the School for credit for experiences in previous studies, work or life experiences under
Recognition of Prior Learning.


Course structure
To attain a Certificate III in Broadcasting (Radio), 11 units must be achieved:
•   two core units
•   six specialist units from the electives
•   three elective units from the Certificate III unit bank from any other industry training package at Certificate III level.
The course is delivered across 350 hours.
