               Julie Gardiner, Aromatherapist
Julie completed her Certificate IV in Remedial Therapies (Aromatherapy) in 2004 and began her
practice in Aromatherapy from home. She started volunteer work as the complementary therapist at
a Retirement Centre and has a therapy room where residents receive gentle massage and their own
personal blend. She uses electric vapourisers in every lounge room to provide a pleasant environment
to residents, staff and visitors. The staff are very appreciative of her Aromatherapy program which
complements their care of residents. Julie says the satisfaction of working in aged care is plentiful
and varied, especially in seeing the effect that a gentle touch can bring to someone. She continued her
studies and has now completed the Diploma of Aromatherapy.
