   3. Is College approved by AICTE?
    Yes! College is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi.

   4. Any other Certifications?
    It is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution.

ADMISSION

1. What are eligibility criteria for admission to MBA program?

      Min 45% marks in graduation.
      Valid MAT score (Any one out of four MAT exams conducted in preceding year).
      In case valid MAT score is not available, minimum 50% marks in graduation are
       desirable.

2. What is Admission Procedure?

Admissions to the 75% of total allotted seats are done through online off campus counseling by
HSCS. Candidate needs to register on www.hscs.in, after depositing the requisite amount of
registration fee. Once the counseling is open, candidate should lock his choice to “Ramanujan
College of Management”. After completion of counseling, College seat will be allowed to
candidates based on merit list.

For balance 25% of seats, which also include 15% NRI seats, candidate should apply directly to
the Director, Ramanujan College of Management on the application form available with
Information Brochure / College Website. Based on application received, college will prepare a
merit list and display on college notice board. Candidates need to appear for personal interview
and after succeeding in the same admission will be confirmed to the candidate.

3. Whether MAT Score is considered?

     Yes, the valid MAT score (Any one out of four MAT exams conducted in preceding
      year) is considered for admissions.
     In absence of MAT, merit is drawn on the basis of marks obtained in graduation.
     Student having highest MAT score and admitted through HSCS, may be awarded with a
      Scholarship cheque of Rs 25000/- by the Haryana State Counseling Society.

FACILITIES

  1. What are Computer Laboratory and Internet Facilities?

     The college has an air-conditioned computer laboratory with the latest configuration,
      computer systems and software utilities with 80 computers and 8 printers.
     The lab has 24 hour internet facility.
     The college also has Language Lab, which is regularly used by the students for
      developing & enhancing their communication skills.

  2. Are there any Medical and Canteen Facilities for students?

     The College has a Canteen, where students and staff can enjoy their meals and can spend
      their spare time.
     The Canteen functioning in our campus provides wholesome food for the students at a
      reasonable rate.
     The hygiene and quality is maintained in the canteen.
     A vending machine for tea and coffee is also available in the canteen for the comfort of
      the students.
     The college has its own medical room where the first aid medical facilities exist for the
      students and staff members

  3. What are the library resources?

     Library has over 4000 books
     Apart from books, library subscribes to nearly 50 reputed national and international
      Journals, periodicals and important national newspapers including financial dailies.
     Library has Book Bank facility under which books are lent to the students for study at
      non refundable one time charges of Rs 3500/- per student.
     Book Bank facility is provided free of cost to meritorious students.
     Under book bank facility one referred book for each subject is provided to the students
      for full period of the semester. The students are required to return the books at the end of
      semester examination so that they could avail the books for next semester.

Hostel accommodation is available for boys in Palwal City.

   5. Transport Facility is available or not? What are the Charges?

Transport facility is available from Faridabad / Palwal / Hodal cities. Transport facility is also
available every time for any kind of emergency. Lower transport charges have been fixed.

   6. Whether Book-Bank facility and Notes are provided?

       Library has Book Bank facility under which books are lent to the students for study at

       As far as notes are concerned, the faculty members provide detailed notes for their
        concerned subjects but it is advisable to students not to depend entirely on notes rather

      they should refer to more and more books and journals available in the library for their
      value addition.

ACADEMICS

  1. Whether dress code is required or not?

     Yes, Dress code is required.
     It leaves a positive impression before external examiners and guests.
     It leads to development of the habit of discipline, as Industry needs disciplined staff only.
     It will give you some basic idea of wearing formal dresses when you will do the job after
      completion your master degree.
     It is compulsory for at least three days in a week as recommended by the college.


  2. Whether attendance is compulsory or not if yes how much?

     Yes, Attendance is compulsory.
     It should be atleast 75% in the whole semester.
     We give cash awards to top three students in the class for regularity in the attendance in
      the whole semester.
     Regular students of our college top the class and also take top university positions in all
      over M D University.
     We also give cash awards of Rs.3100/2100/1100/1100/1100 to top five in the class in the
      final semester-end university examinations; additional/special cash award of Rs. 2000/-
      to all scoring atleast 80% marks; additional/special cash awards of Rs. 2000/- for
      securing I/II/III position/rank in annual university merit list.
     Cash awards to top three in the class of all internal/sessional examinations/tests held
      during the whole semester.

The college has well qualified and experienced Faculty to train and develop students to meet the
ever changing & ever increasing requirements of industry.

The Faculty members are also engaged in Research work and regularly attend Faculty
Development Programmes, STTPs (Short Term Training Programs),Workshops, Conferences
and Seminars for Academic Innovation through Advanced Learning of Management teaching
techniques and tools like Case studies, Simulation exercises, Management games etc. so that they
can continuously update themselves about latest developments in respective branches.

At the end of the Semester, college also organizes Faculty Development Programmes on regular
basis for the learning and growth of faculty members.

       Cricket Match

Cricket mania rules the heart of Young India. So as to encourage competitive spirit, a Cricket
Match was organized in the college campus on 6th March, 2010. There were three teams, two
from RCM and one from sister institution RCE (B. Ed). Two external Umpires Sh. Teki Ram
Sharma (Retired DPE) and Sh. Inderjeet Singh Tanwar (DP, DCTM) supervised three rounds of
cricket match. It was indeed a thrilling and youthful event. Cash Award of Rs. 2500/- and medals
were given to the winning team of RCE (B. Ed.) students.

       PARICHAY 2010 – The Management Fest

RAMANUJAN College of Management (RCM) organized the PARICHAY 2009, the first
management fest at Palwal, in February 2009 at college campus, which was a huge success.

Continuing with the legacy, RCM again organized the management fest, PARICHAY 2010 on
Thursday, Feb 11, 2010 at college campus. The fest was inaugurated by the Hon‟ble Chief
Guest, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kr. Rajan, Director, IMSAR, MDU along with Chairman, Sh. Rajeev
Mohan Kukreja. Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Kr. Khurana welcomed and motivated participants /
contestants to compete and excel. Prof. (Dr.) Raj Kr. Nayak (Principal, RCE) & Management
Expert Sh. Vivek Rai (Ex – IIM) also graced the occasion with their benign presence.

The PARICHAY was sponsored (in kind) by the soft drink giant PEPSI. Foot trapping dance
performance was given by Rainbow Dance Troupe and enchanting Live Music was played by
Ehsaas -Music-Academy.

The PARICHAY was a great success. Eight competitions / events were organized. Nearly 140
students from 15 colleges competed for various events and demonstrated their talents & skills.

The star event of the day was “HUNT FOR ENTREPRENEURS” for which Cash Awards
totalling Rs. 10,000/- were given to two teams. Cash Awards of Rs. 1500/- each were given to
winners of other events. In addition Mementoes / Trophies, Certificates, Pens & Chocolates were
also distributed to winners / participants. The fest ended with National Anthem.

   7. Whether College encourages students to compete in external competition?
Yes, RCM encourages its students to compete in external competitions / contests / fests, show
their talents & skills, and prove their mettle. So as to motivate RCM students to develop
competitive spirit, every student who wins 1st, 2nd or 3rd position in external competitions, is
given cash awards of Rs.500/- each by the College. The achievements and awards won by the
RCM students in external competitions during recent period have been as under:

      The college regularly organizes an annual alumni meet so that the students can learn from

   1. Faculty Development Programme (FDP) Organized

RCM is committed to promotion of education and research. Keeping this goal in mind, a FDP on
“Understanding Students Psychodynamics & Writing Research Paper” was organized by RCM
on 22nd Jan 2010 at college campus. 37 faculty members from 12 colleges attended the FDP. The
Certificates of Participation were awarded by Chairman, Sh. Rajeev Mohan Kukreja to all the
participants. The FDP ended with “Vote of Thanks” by Academic Coordinator, Ms. Sushma

   2. Publications: Resarch Journal “ Evolution”

No nation, society or organization can progress without research and innovation. Ramanujan
Colleges are no exception. The Ramanujan Colleges regularly bring out a bi-annual refereed
research journal of management and education – EVOLUTION. Editorial Board of
EVOLUTION comprises of eminent academicians and experts from M D University, GGS I P
University, Bharati Vidya Peeth University, Bundelkhand University etc. The journal is devoted
to the publication and promotion of research papers / articles related to the functional areas of
education & management viz information technology, marketing, finance, human resource
development, operations management, general management and also macro areas of
globalization, trade and investment. The College also brings out a weekly news letter.

   3. Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship – 2010 (Being organized in July 2010)

India is gradually emerging as one of the leading economies of the world. So as to maintain high
growth rate & economic leadership, the nation needs pool of entrepreneurs. Keeping above needs
in mind, RCM regularly organizes variety of entrepreneurship skills development activities.

Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship is an entrepreneurial education program that serves the
needs of budding entrepreneurs who have a business idea and are keen to convert it into a
sustainable business. This program will assist the participants in exploring the knowledge, skills
and attitude for realizing their dream of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
