Registration vs. Activation
   Registration and activation are not the same
   Registration is voluntary; activation is
    mandatory
   Registration sends personal information;
    activation sends only product information

Activation Methods
   Phone or Internet
       Internet – Must have ISP connection. For
        Windows XP, you can use Microsoft’s ISP
        network.
       Phone – 24 hour activation support center.
   Email and fax have been eliminated

   You can activate by Internet only
