STEO Website Changes
Now shows SDR Validation and not Final Validation
Downloads link has been removed
The wording of the SDR description paragraph has changed to reflect the changes in the funding.
Final SDR Validation has been replaced with SDR Validation
SDR and Comp has changed to SDR Full
When selecting the Return Year, make sure you select the correct year as this will affect the fields that will become available to you on Step 2 of the validation process
Includes instructions for organisations who wish to upload historical SDRs in a zipped file
For 2007 SDRs, you will still get the same options as the previous round
If selecting 2008 as your return year in Step 1, you will automatically get this screen which has the extra field for the Qualification Completion File
Includes notes on SDR file requirement changes for 2007 and 2008
For 2007 SDR Validations, confirmation will appear for the 4 required files as is currently the process
For 2008 SDR Validations, confirmation will appear for the 5 required files
Along with changes to column names, information and links have been moved and altered.
Error and Warning counts moved to Validation Rules Column
To download your CC Summary, Draft EFTS by Course and EFTS by Course, go to the Downloads column
The links to view your Errors, Summary Report and Draft Summary Report have been put together in the ‘Reports’ column
The links to your ‘Forecast’ and your ‘Course Differences’ have been put in the ‘Other’ column
Process Time now shows the time in minutes and seconds
File counts have been put into a single column

2008 SDR Manual amendments
• 9/11/07 Version 10.1 Updated the following in the Manual - page numbers made continuous, instead of in sections in Manual. - Page numbers added to appendix 11, SDR Error/Warning codes. • 20/11/07 Version 10.2 Updated the following in the Manual - Item 17 in the Preface, Processing Change has been removed. - Pg 8, What Information is needed for the SDR?, wording has changed - Warning 589 has been included.

Qualification Completion File
• • • • • Qualification Completion Return required 3 times a year – April, August, December. Qualification Completion records are required to be supplied only once. If a TEO does not have any Qualification Completion records to report then a blank file must be uploaded. TEOs must report EITHER yr_req_met OR yr_grad, not a combination in a file. Once a TEO has reported yr_req_met they cannot change back to yr_grad reporting.

Student File

Term Post Code and Perm Post Code – Blank is not a valid value. 8888 or 9999 must be used for all Type D student types where a valid post code is not available. Citizen field is for Country of Citizenship values only. In 2008 Citizen code ‘999’ can be used for Type D Students.

Enrolment File

Residency field will contain Y or N which represents if a student has New Zealand Permanent Residency status or not. Validation 159 will be a warning for 2008.

Course Completion File

PBRF_crs_comp_yr field is compulsory for PBRF TEOs for 2008, file length 65.
Non PBRF TEOs must use the old file length of 61.
