      Attention 2009 Quilt Festival Volunteers
We would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have already signed up for some
duties on the posted flip charts.
Although we know that you are eager to sign up, we also know that it may be a bit rushed at the
meetings and perhaps a little difficult to push through the huge crowds gathering in front of our charts.
Therefore you will find included, a list of all the committees currently looking for volunteers.
Please have a look and if something catches your eye, add your name to the chart at the February
      meeting.
Sign up early so that you can take the same time slot on more than one day. Or, for those travelling
from afar, perhaps you might prefer to do more than one slot on the same day.
If you are able to volunteer for more than one committee, we won’t say no!
Thank you from the Volunteer Committee – Diane Archer & Jeanette Hawkes

something new? Root vegetables? Root out the truth?
Community roots? The hidden roots? What does ‘roots’
mean to you?

                       Homewood Retreat 2009
We had a grand time!! The show and tell gave evidence that we worked hard.
The variety of projects was terrific. The food was great and I can’t understand
why the bell hasn’t rung at home to call me to meals.
I would like to thank everyone for their helpfulness, cooperation, and
friendliness. I would like to thank Claudette and Louise for helping with the name
tags for the doors. Thanks especially to Allana for all her work with the silent
auction. Thanks to Nancy for writing songs to entertain us and to Claudette for
 her piano accompaniment.
Fran Henney had a bad fall and scared us but we are thankful she is okay.
Thanks to Gerrie for her part in looking after Fran.
