□ yes, I will attend (please indicate one of the options below)
□ Option 1: EPROCA Training Program on “Increasing global
competitiveness of SMEs: tips and tools"
Description: Clusters offer an outstanding tool for micro and small
businesses, MSMEs, to increase their overall competitiveness, assist
enterprises in their growth activities and give better access to
international markets.
Today clustering is a mainstream strategy for more than 100 countries
across the world for local economies to utilize clusters as a cornerstone of
their economic growth. The reason for this is that according to research,
it has been shown that a clear positive link exists between cluster
development and MSME growth, job creation, export development,
investment attraction, competitiveness and productivity.
During our training day we give an overview of how we can forge a more
innovative environment for future clusters. We not only give you tools for
4
the future, but also give you relevant executive information and how-to-
action-a learning process can be implemented.
□ Option 2: INSME Training Program on "Access to Research and
Innovation for SMEs: Challenges and Tools"
Description: Although innovation has been seen as the means to turn
R&D results into commercially successful products, not all research leads
to innovation and not all innovation is research-based. Nowadays, R&D is
not the main source of Innovation.. Innovation encompasses more than
just the successful application of research results and technological
development. Enterprise competitiveness derives also from the adoption
of innovative ways of doing business, or from innovative ways of
marketing products and services.
The training will focus on: the technology transfer process and a
comparison among International Technology commercialisation Models;
The utilisation of Open innovation approaches by SMEs; how to present a
business proposition in a convincing way, in a few minutes, knowing that
entrepreneurs and investors have different points of view and interests.
