                                              Gas Inlet Connection: 5/16" (8 mm) O.D. tube with olive fittings into a test

11. Positioning the coals: 550, 700 & 850 Gas Convector
Warning
The fire must only be fitted with the ceramics supplied. Do not add any extra coals
or logs.

1    Position the front coal pieces as shown. The left hand front coal piece has a cut
     on its rear edge to clear the pilot hole. Ensure that the pilot hole and flame
     strip are not obstructed.

2    Position the back board centrally into the burner tray ensuring it is correctly
     seated and that the flame strip is not obstructed.

3    Fit the left hand and right hand coal pieces either side of the back board into
     the burner tray. They should be fully fitted into the burner tray and touch the
     rear of the front coal pieces.

                                              4           Position a first row of coals at the front (5 on the 550GC, 6 on the 700GC
                                                          and 9 on the 850GC).They should bridge the gap between the front coal pieces
                                                          and the front row of pyramids on the back board. Leave a gap of approximately
                                                          5 - 10mm between each coal. Do not attempt to force any coals down into
                                                          the gap between the front coal pieces and the back board.

                                                  5        Position a second row of coals (4 on the 550GC, 5 on the 700GC and 7 on the
                                                           850GC). These should rest on the pyramids on the back board and touch the
                                                           front row of coals. Leave a gap of approximately 5 - 10mm between these coals.
                                                           Do not attempt to force the coals down between the pyramids.




                                                                         Second row of coals




                                                      6     Position a third and final row of coals (5 on the 550GC, 6 on the 700GC and
                                                            8 on the 850GC). These should rest between the second row of coals and
                                                            the top of the back board. Leave a gap of approximately 5 - 10mm between
                                                            these coals. Do not attempt to force these coals down between the second
                                                            row of coals and the top of the back board.

                                              21. Maintaining the Gas Grate
                                              Gas fires need checking annually. This
                                              involves cleaning and relaying the coals,
                                              checking the pilot light and all joints,
                                              checking ventilators and fume clearance,
                                              and repainting the exposed parts. It should
                                              take an hour to an hour and a half. We
                                              are a seasonal business - so please do not
                                              leave calling us for a maintenance visit
                                              until the first day of winter!

1   Jetmaster warrants that the burner and controls of this Gas Grate or Gas Convector
    will be free from defects in workmanship or materials under normal use and service
    for a period of one year from the invoiced date of purchase.

2   Jetmaster warrants that the Gas Convector firebox will be free from defects in
    workmanship or materials under normal use and service for a period of ten years
    from the invoiced date of purchase. This Warranty does not cover rust as all units
    are made of mild steel.

3   This warranty is only effective if:

    3.1   At the time of the claim the then owner of the Gas Grate/Gas Convector
          burner and/or firebox produces documentary evidence to prove the date
          of purchase, e.g. the original or true copy of the invoice.

    3.2   The Warranty Card (supplied separately) was fully completed and returned
          to Jetmaster by main or by fax within 30 days of purchase.

    3.3    The Gas Grate/Gas Convector burner and/or firebox was installed by a
          registered LPGAS Association fitter and was purchased from an appointed
          Jetmaster Agent.

    3.4   The installation, operation and maintenance of the Gas Grate/Gas Convector
          burner and/or firebox was, in the opinion of Jetmaster, carried out in
          accordance with the Installation and Operating Instructions current at the
          time of purchase and no modifications have been made to the product
          without written authority.

4   When a valid claim arises under this Warranty, Jetmaster will, as its sole option,
    either repair or replace the Gas Grate/Gas Convector burner and/or firebox,
    having firstly been investigated by the appointed Distributor of Jetmaster.

5    Under no circumstances will Jetmaster be liable for any consequential loss or
    damage or injury arising out of, or in connection with, the use or operation of the
    Gas Grate/Gas Convector burner and/or firebox resulting from the failure to
    follow the Installation and Operating Instructions, or from a breach of the Warranty
    conditions.
