Officials Identification:
All officials must be currently accreditated and for SLSQ officials current blue card holders.
For officials from outside of Queensland, a letter of endorsement from your state or national body (if from
overseas) MUST accompany your nomination from your club or self.

Although it is not compulsory for officials to wear their accreditation, photo ID and blue card displayed around their
necks on a lanyard, it is compulsory that these three forms of ID/certification are carried on their person whilst on the
beach in official duties for this event.

All officials must wear/display their “red” accreditation badge or their probationary ID card, whilst on official duties at
this event.

Dress of Officials:
It is imperative that the appearance of competition officials for the 2010 “Future Champions” competition is of a high
standard; therefore appointed officials are requested to give a high degree of attention to their quality of uniform and
appearance.

There will be “Officials” shirts distributed to all appointed officials for this event of which will be required to be worn
during the conducting of all events.

It is also a request of event organisers, that officials wear – white shorts or skirt. These will not be supplied by the
event organisers.

Uniforms that have previously been distributed to officials with alcohol branding on them will not be permitted to be
worn at this event.

In the interest of event promotion and appearance, to potential corporate partners and the media, it would be
greatly appreciated that appointed officials could follow the dress code as listed above.

As this carnival will promote Surf Life Saving Queensland’s image to the general public it is of the utmost
importance that the standard of dress for both officials and competitors is maintained at the highest possible level.

First Aid:
All participating clubs from Queensland will be asked to supply the name of one qualified First Aid Officer, to assist
with First Aid across this weekend’s competition.

Like officials appointments, all names submitted will not necessarily be appointed to a First Aid shift, however, if all
clubs oblige in submitting names as requested then the resource of persons available will not be strained and the
appointments made will not be stretching the resources of all involved. Once again this is to ensure that this very
important part of the event has suitably qualified personnel to carry out the duties of First Aid and ample names to
choose from.

Please also be advised that although desirable, First Aid personnel do not necessarily have to be accreditated
officials. However, they MUST be currently qualified and proficient in First Aid. Medical qualifications will also be
recognised for these duties if the personnel are available to assist.
