SELECTION PROCEDURES

Nominations will be reviewed by a special Pharmaceutical Technologies Section Awards
Committee, which will be appointed annually and will include a representative from The Dekker
Foundation and at least one representative from academia. The committee will evaluate the
nominees in light of the established criteria for the award. The names of eligible nominees will be
forwarded to the AAPS Executive Council. The award is presented biennially, but only when a
worthy candidate is identified. The committee may recommend that the award not be presented in
any given year.

The nominations will be maintained at the AAPS office for a period of three years (the original year

eligibility, states in writing that he/she would like reconsideration of the nomination. The nominator
may submit, at that time, additional information in support of the nominee.

The recipient will receive $10,000, an engraved plaque and travel expenses (a maximum of $1,000
