          a Summer you
           Won’t forGet
Have plans for summer 2011? Shemesh Day Camp is the place to be! We are so excited about camp this
year, that we can hardly contain ourselves! As your new camp co-directors, we would like to welcome you to
another wonderful, exciting summer of camp at the Valley of the Sun Jewish Community Center. We are both
very excited to be overseeing camp and look forward to making this summer great. Mitch is back to help things
run smoothly and Deborah is back for another fun-filled fantastic summer. Together we bring our years of
experience and leadership to make camp the best experience ever. The Valley of the Sun JCC offers an inclusive
camping program that begins from preschool age with very personalized programs and ends through teens
with a variety of travel and traditional camp programs.
We believe in programs that give children an opportunity to learn more about themselves and become more
self-confident. Our caring and experienced staff provides a nurturing environment, while putting an emphasis
on an low camper/staff ratio.
This summer we have added more than a dozen new specialty camps to our program. These camps give your
child an opportunity to explore an area of interest in depth with experienced instructors. Our supervisory staff
is proven and experienced. We place an emphasis on excellent staff to camper ratios while maintaining a high
level of fun for the campers. Every day offers new adventures, memories and friends that will last a lifetime.
Whether you are brand new to our camp or a returning camper, we know you will have a great time here at
Shemesh Day Camp!
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you!
