the Community Partnership of the Ozarks invite you to attend
Scam and Eggs: Breakfast Seminar on Consumer Protection,
November 3, 2009

The purpose of the seminar is to increase awareness of consumer credit rights, mortgage fraud,
foreclosure rescue schemes, and reputable community resources.
The seminar will be of interest to elected officials, faith-based and social service organizations,
community-based development corporations, neighborhood associations, government, and others
who serve consumers.
The program will offer an overview of the foreclosure crisis, federal and state regulations,
enforcement, consumer protection, and resources in the community that offer credible help.
Speakers include representatives from the Federal Reserve Bank, FDIC, Missouri Attorney
General’s Office, U.S. Department of Justice, Office of the Circuit Attorney (invited), University
of Missouri Extension, Urban Neighborhoods Alliance (invited), Consumer Credit Counseling
Service of Springfield, and the Community Partnership of the Ozarks.
Each participant will receive a resource packet for further outreach and education.
There is no charge to attend but advance registration is required by Oct. 27.
