                       Description

Annual scholarships to assist liberal arts undergraduates to
pursue professional accounting careers through graduate
study in accounting. Carey Scholarships are awarded to
liberal arts degree-holders who show high potential to
become successful accounting practitioners.
Annual program to support doctoral students in the research
and writing of their dissertations. AIR program seeks to foster
use of federal databases as sources of information on issues
related to higher education.


Annual scholarship award for exceptional academic
achievement and community service experience, offered as
encouragement to students to attend outstanding colleges
and universities in the U.S.

Annual program to provide the Congress with objective,
timely, and nonpartisan analyses needed for economic and
budget decisions.


Annual program to provide matching scholarship funds to
CPCU Society Chapters that establish scholarship programs
to foster insurance education at the college level.


The Daniel B. Goldberg Scholarship is available for award to
a graduate student who is enrolled in full-time master's study
preparing for a career in state and local government finance.


The Frank L. Greathouse Government Accounting
Scholarship is available for award to one or more
undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in full-time
study preparing for a career in state and local government
finance.


The George A. Nielsen Public Investor Scholarship is
available for award to an employee of a local government or
other public entity who is enrolled or plans to enroll in an
undergraduate or graduate program in public administration,
finance, business administration or a related field.
The Minorities in Government Finance Scholarship is
available for award to an upper-division undergraduate or
graduate student enrolled in a course of study preparing for a
career in state and local government finance.


The Public Employee Retirement Research and
Administration Scholarship is available for award to a full- or
part-time student who is enrolled in a graduate program in
public administration, finance, business administration, or
social sciences preparing for a career in state and local
government with a focus on public-sector retirement benefits.


Annual awards to support short-term visits to Hagley
Museum and Library for scholarly research.



Annual award to support doctoral candidates conducting
dissertation research, when the research would benefit from
use of Hagley's research collections. Fellows are in
residence at Hagley Museum and Library for 4 months.



Annual program to provide an opportunity for graduate
students to learn about IDB operations and acquire work
experience for two months at the professional level through
on-the-job training during their summer vacation.

practice of economic policy making and management. The
objective of the program is to impart to young policy-makers
the skills required to design and implement policy effectively
in their home countries. Possibility for enrollment in an

encourages innovative research on the social and cultural as
well as economic aspects of the corporation through
dissertation grants and a series of workshops with senior
scholars held at Berkeley, Calif.
Annual program- The Institute conducts scientific inquiry and
research into general economics with a focus on monetary
economics, methodology of economics, business cycle
analysis, forecasting and other topics. Fellows attend
summer seminar and have a possibility of continued support
into the academic year.

US citizens who hold a liberal arts degree and who are applying to, or
have been accepted into, a graduate accounting program that will enable
them to sit for the CPA examination; Students registered already in a
graduate accounting program are ineligible

An applicant must be either an Alaska Native original enrollee of Cook
Inlet Region, Inc. or a lineal descendant of an enrollee; Students
registered in a graduate or undergraduate degree program at a U.S.
college or university. Applicants should have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or
greater.

Students in graduate degree programs, postdoctoral scholars, senior

participate in the seminars, lectures, and other public programs offered

Doctoral candidates who have completed all coursework and who are
engaged in dissertation research that would benefit from use of the
Hagley research collections; There is no citizenship requirement for
applicants; Fellows are expected to participate in seminars and other
public programs held at Hagley; Fellows give a seminar at the end of
their residency and provide Hagley with a copy of their final dissertation

Candidate must be: a citizen of one of the Bank's member countries, a
student working towards an MA or a PhD in the appropriate fields,
proficient in at least one of the official Bank languages (English, Spanish,
Portuguese, French) preferably with a working knowledge of a second
one, and not older than 30 as of June 1 of the year they want to
participate
A national of a World Bank member country; under the age of 40; in good
health; of good character; an undergraduate degree with strong
economic content; a superior academic record; at least 2 years of recent
experience, preferably in a public agency or non-governmental
organization; Must plan on returning to home country after program

Full-time doctoral students who have completed the first year of graduate
studies at U.S. institutions; There is no citizenship requirement




Doctoral candidates (students who have passed the A exam) conducting
research on related topics are invited to apply for a dissertation grant as
well as to participate in the series of workshops; There is no citizenship

Most summer fellows are graduate students who are from U.S. colleges
and universities, range in age from 20 to 35 years, and are working on
graduate degrees in economics; Few foreign students are able to
participate unless they are accepted or enrolled in a U.S. university
