More than 350 role-players in agribusiness have already registered for the annual
AGRI OUTLOOK 2007. This event will be held on 25 and 26 Oktober 2007 at the CSIR Conference
Centre, Pretoria and the focus will be on the future of agriculture in South Africa and the world.
This is a unique networking opportunity, as no other forum with this diverse audience exists in
Southern Africa.

Delegates ranging from government, producers and producer organisations, agricultural
businesses, media, processors and various other large roleplayers in the SA agriculture and
economy is expected.

On day 1, Dr Daniel Silke will focus on the political climate and SA Agriculture, whilst the
economic overview will be conducted by Dr Roelof Botha. Trade Agreements, as well as the
outlook for growth in South Africa will be topics of discussion.

Dr Andrew Fearne (Kent, UK) will focus on the marketing success in the Agrifood industry, whilst
Charles Hughes (Tru-Cape Fruit Marketing) will focus on China and Agriculture in Southern
Africa.

The opportunities and challenges in biofuels will be discussed by Prof. Emile van Zyl, SANERI
Chair in Energy Research: Biofuels (University Stellenbosch), as welll as the impact of food
retailing on Agriculture. Day 1 will be concluded with a scrumptious dinner and a show by guest
artist, Alvin Bruinders.

On day 2, Ms Lulama Xingwana, Minister for Agriculture and Land Affairs of the Republic of South
Africa will focus on what commercial agriculture role-players in South Africa must do to improve
the partnership with the Government.

Dr Johan van den Berg will discuss the weather outlook for 2007/8 and Prof Johan Willemse from
University of the Free State will discuss agricultural outlooks on industries. The use of market
instruments for effective grain marketing will be discussed by Steve Hochfeld.

The outlook for Land reform in South Africa will be the topic of discussion by Glen Thomas,
Director-General of Land Affairs.
