					                       2010 Christmas Holiday Programme
                              Winter Wonderland
Welcome to the winter holiday programme, which is based very loosely around the winter wonderland theme. The
aim of the programme is to give the children a chance to relax and enjoy themselves with their friends, whilst
taking part in tried and tested activities that they enjoy.

We have divided the activities into three age groups 4-8, 8-11 and 11-14. There will also be plenty of free play
activities available all the time so the children can make their own decisions about what they want to join in with
and when they would rather just chill with their friends. We do play outside each day in the holidays, weather
permitting, so children will need the usual warm coats, hats, scarves and gloves.

We have also arranged for a touring theatre company to visit us, at our Queen Edith’ location on Tuesday
21st December, to perform Aesop's Fables. We will provide transportation from Victoria Road (including
Cottenham children) and St Matthews for this performance.

This is a story combining a selection of some of the greatest fables with music, masks, magic and comedy. Aesop
lived circa 600BC. Unfortunately, little is known about him, although history tells us that for many years Aesop
was a slave to King Iadmon. He refused to give the Delphinian people any money believing them to be
undeserving. This fun filled story packed with surprises and lots of audience participation encouraging children to
question their own morals through entertainment.

Please book early to avoid disappointment. We really look forward to seeing you at the club during the holiday.
