G. Railway Track. In case as per requirement, rules
and regulations of railway, work is omitted; the
contractor shall not claim anything for this
contingency and shall execute only the works as
permitted by AMC / Railway.

Dear Sir,

Having visited the site and examined the bid documents, Drawings, Conditions of Contract,
Technical Specifications, Technical Schedules, Annexures, Preamble to Price Schedules and
Price Schedules etc. including Addendum / Amendments to the above, for the execution of
the above Contract, we the undersigned offer to procure M.S. casing pipes pushing / laying
the same complete and to procure MS carrier pipes pushing and laying the same complete
and maintain the said works for one year i.e. defects liability period as given in Conditions of
Contract and in conformity with the said Drawing, Conditions of Contract, Technical
Specifications, Technical Schedules, Preamble to Price Schedules, Price Schedules,
Annexures, Bidding Documents, including Addendum Nos. ____________(insert numbers).

1. We undertake, if our Bid is accepted to complete the Works in accordance with the
Contract within 4(four) months, inclusive of monsoons, from the date of Letter of
Intimation (LOI) and to maintain the work for 12 (twelve) months after completing
the same.

2. We agree to abide by this bid for price validity a period of 120 days from the date of
receipt, fixed for receiving the same and it shall remain upon us and may be accepted
at any time before the expiry of that period.

3. In the event of our Bid being accepted, we agree to enter into a formal Contract
Agreement with you incorporating the Conditions of Contract thereto annexed; but
until such agreement is prepared this Bid together with your written acceptance
thereof shall constitute a binding Contact between us.

4. We agree, if our Bid is accepted, to furnish Security Deposit as specified in the
Conditions of Contract.

5. We understand that you are not bound to accept the lowest or any Bid you may
receive.

PREAMBLE TO PRICE SCHEDULES

1. The bid is to be submitted for contract of Design, Providing, Pushing/laying of M.S.
casing pipe with providing and laying MS Pipe as carrier pipe under M.G. Railway
line under Bhavnagar Division.

2. The rates and prices shall be submitted in the formats given in the enclosed Price
Schedules. Rates and prices received in any other formats will be rejected and the
Bids will be disqualified.

3. It will be entirely at the description of the Owner to accept or reject the bidder’s
design proposal, without giving nay reasons whatsoever and the bidder shall not be
permitted to withdraw his bid on this account.

4. In Price Schedule, bidder shall quote his percentage above / below the estimated cost
shown in Price Schedule for entire work with break-up for items listed in the
schedule. Percentage quoted in Price Schedule – only will be considered for price
evaluation and shall form a part of the Contract Agreement.

5. The wording in the item description is for subject matter guidance only; clause
references are indicative only and all other relevant clauses shall also be referred to.
The percentage shall allow for all the works covered under the bid and all liabilities
and contractual obligations whether separately specified or not.

6. Only total figure arrived at the percentage quoted above / below the estimated cost
below Price Schedule will be considered for financial evaluation of the bid.

7. The bidder shall be deemed to have allowed in his price for provision, maintaining the
same during defect liability period and final removal of all temporary bunds, diverting
water, pumping, dewatering etc. for the proper execution of works. The rates shall
also be deemed to include any works and setting out that may be required to be
carried out for laying out of all the works involved.

8. Percentage above / below shall be written in ink and shall be entered in figures and in
words. Where there is discrepancy between the percentage rate quoted and the
amount entered, the latter shall govern.

9. The Price Schedules are to be read in conjunction with the Conditions of Contract, the
Specifications and other sections of these bid documents and these documents are to
be taken as mutually explanatory of one another.

10. Prices quoted by the bidder shall be firm for the entire period of Contract without any
escalation.

11. The bidder shall interpret the data furnished and carry out any additional survey work,
or investigation work required at his own cost.

12. The prices quoted shall also include the cost of materials utilized for testing.

13. The bidder should acquaint himself with the site conditions including the access to
Work site. The successful bidder shall have to make suitable access to work sites at
his own cost. The other contractors working for AMC will also use these accesses.

14. The quantity shown are tentative & they may vary as per site conditions and approval
of competent authority. The quoted rates are applicable to any quantity executed at
sites. The Bidder should verify the quantity before the placing the order of same with
respect to site situation.

and Jointing MS pipes of 600 mm finished Inside Diameter
(FID), 6 mm thick MS plate as well as MS specials in
accordance of IS:5822 - 1994 or its latest edition in suitable
lengths from MS plates (plates shall be as per IS : 2062-1992
or its latest edition of Grade 'B' - Fe 410), as per IS:3589-1991
or its latest edition including cutting, bending of plates to
the required shapes, welding by Submerged Arc Welding,
having joints with bevelled ends including ultrasonic tests
of 15% of total welded joints of pipes, the field weld (of
casing pipe as well as carrier pipe) shall be tested cent
percent radiographically as per IS - 1182 as per detailed
specifications of the tender documents and tolerances for
outside diameter of pipe shell. Circularity test as per IS : 3589
- 1991 and all other required tests, unloading, stacking etc.
including all taxes, duties, local taxes etc. complete, as

(a) Providing and laying RCC for cast in situ thrust
wall and thrust bed including necessary reinforcement

design approved by railway based on approved GAD by
railway authority (including all approval from railway)
including pushing.

(c) Providing necessary structural steel work for front
shied, intermediate shields, spacers, jacking pins,
jacking rigs sliding channels spacers etc. All the
structural steel used except intermediate shields will be
ownership of contractor after pipe pushing work is
completed.

(d) Providing pushing 600 mm dia. M. S. pipeline with
hydraulic jack without disturbance to railway track
including all necessary excavation for thrust wall,
necessary shoring and strutting required, necessary
dewatering required if any, excavation within the pipe
with all necessary refilling upto ground level after
pushing work completed including carting of extra earth
upto a lead of 5 Kms. This also includes necessary

labour cost for pushing and maintaining packing gangs
@ time of pipe pushing including necessary cost of
hydraulic pipe and oil for hydraulic jacks including

(e) Outer surface of pipe shall be painted with a coat of zinc
rich epoxy primer of thicness 4 mils and inside surface of
pipe with high build epoxy as per RDSO specification to
a dry a film thickness of 250 micron

The excavated earth will be property of AMC and to be
carted as specified by AMC

surface of pipe with high build epoxy as per RDSO
