BRIEF SUMMARY OF REPORT
The purpose of this report is to provide the members of the SPCB with a
progress report on the Commissioning and Decommissioning Plan that was
agreed as part of the Planning for the Future consultation.

ACTION RECOMMENDED

2. Not applicable

RISK MANAGEMENT ISSUES

3. Failure to meet the deadlines set in the Plan could result in an adverse
financial impact on the programme because potential savings have not been
achieved at the appropriate time.

MAIN BODY OF REPORT

     4. In July 2009 the SPCB approved the Commissioning and
Decommissioning Plan that was used as part of the Planning for the
Future consultation (that the SPCB had approved in October 2008).
     5. In January 2010 an update was provided to SP members and it was
agreed that this would be represented every six months. The second
update is provided in Appendix 1.
     6. The purpose of providing a brief update using the original template is to
enable members to see how previous information provided fits into the
              over arching Plan.

  7. Since the last update was provided the forecast column for 09/10 has
been removed and a forecast column for 11/12 added. There have
been no further changes to the narrative for the Strategic Intentions.
  8. As previously advised, although the information under „current status‟
is unavoidably concise the SP reps attending the meeting will be able
to provide further information if required.
