Laser wheel alignments are generally viewed as easier and more accurate than
traditional wheel alignments. Every vehicle has certain elements that make sure that

Every vehicle's wheel alignment is determined by following three specific
measurements. Measurements are taken from the caster, camber and toe. Most
vehicles are designed so that only the toe can be adjusted. When individuals take their

standard measurements. When an automobile undergoes a wheel alignment, the repair
shop adjusts the angles of the wheels until they fit the factory specifications. Repair

adjustments have been made the wheel, alignment is complete.

To do a wheel alignment the repair technician begins by taking precise measurements
at the angles of each wheel. After this has been completed, the steering wheel
component is centered. Lastly, the technician can begin making the alignments. Each
of the front wheels are compared to the rear thrust line of the vehicles and they are
adjusted to the correct specifications. For vehicles, that come equipped with four
wheels with adjustable rear suspensions one additional step is added. After angle
measurements are takes, the rear wheels must be adjusted to the proper specifications.
For this type of vehicle, the rear thrust line is viewed as the centerline of the vehicle.

When a technician performs a laser wheel alignment a laser is used to help with
accuracy. A special bracket is generally fixed onto one of the wheels on the vehicles.
A special laser is then clamped down onto the special bracket so that it cannot move.
The laser beam is then pointed onto a scale or other type of measurement device that
is at the end of the vehicle. This allows the repair technician to adjust the axles as
needed in order to make sure they get the wheels to the right specification.
Technicians can quickly make changes and the measurements taken are much more
precise than traditional alignment, which ensures that the vehicle will run smooth.

Cars that pull to one side or if vehicles seems to shake or gives a rough ride can
generally be helped with a simple alignment. In addition, proper alignment helps not
to wear the tire down and they help to give vehicles better gas mileage, which can
help consumers save a little money at the pump. A simple laser wheel alignment can
make all the difference when it comes to the way that a vehicle handles on the road.
