                      Call for applications to benefit
              from university scholarships for underprivileged
         Moroccan students resident abroad (School year 2010/2011).
        Within the framework of the social and cultural support program set by
the Ministry in Charge of the Moroccan Community Resident Abroad for 2009
in favor of social groups in an underprivileged situation, and to activate the
joint and cooperation agreement signed on Wednesday 17 march 2010
between this Ministry and the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education
and Scientific Research, 1000 scholarships are given, for the School year
2010/2011, to underprivileged students resident abroad in difficult social
situation and pursuing their higher studies in host countries in different
university levels ( Bachelor, Master and PHD degrees).
First: Conditions required to benefit from scholarships for Bachelor Degree
students:
        These scholarships would be given on an annual basis according to the
social situation and academic success for university and higher institution
undergraduate and graduate students, whose files shall be examined and then
selected according to given criteria.
       Students who have been selected to be granted the scholarship will
benefit from it for one year that can be prolonged after presenting an
enrollment certificate in the next university level
    The Application file to benefit from the scholarship:
     1. A written request.
     2. Submit a certificate proving that the student is pursuing his/her
     studies in the host countries since the first year of secondary school.
     3. A copy of high school diploma certified from the concerned
     authorities, and which must be obtained in the host country of the
     applicant.
     4. A copy of national identity card and consular registration card.
     5. A certified copy of enrollment certificate in a higher educational
     institution for the University School year 2010/2011 translated on of to
     the following languages: Arabic, French or English.
     6. A certified residence card of the parent or the tutor by the Moroccan
     consular center where the applicant belongs.
     7. The applicant’s academic record of the courses taken during high
     school program.
     8. A copy of family income certificate certified by the Moroccan consular
     center where the applicant belongs.

Second: Conditions required to benefit from Scholarships for Master and PHD
students:
       Master and PHD scholarships are granted according to annual
percentage on the basis of academic achievement determined by the years of
study during Bachelor degree and the academic honoring.
       Concerning the Master degrees, applicants will benefit from the
scholarship for one year that can be prolonged, for one more year only. What
concerns PHD degrees, applicants can not benefit from scholarships more than
four years and it is renewed each year on the basis of the annual report that
should be written by the applicant’s supervisor showing the progress of the
student in his/her dissertation writing process
    Candidature file to benefit from the scholarship:
     1. A written request to the Minister of National Education, Higher
     Education and Scientific Research under the supervision of the Ministry
     in Charge of Moroccans Resident Abroad.
     2. To clarify the underprivileged social situation of the applicant within
     the written request.
     3. A copy of high school diploma certified from the concerned
     authorities, and which must be obtained in the host country of the
     applicant.
     4. A certified copy of enrollment certificate in a higher educational
     institution for the university School year 2010/2011 translated on of to
     the following languages: Arabic, French or English.
     5. A certified residence card of the parent or the tutor by the Moroccan
     consular center where the applicant belongs.
     6. A copy of national identity card and consular registration card of the
     applicant.
     7. A certified copy of bachelor degree for master students.
     8. The applicant’s academic record of the courses taken during the B.A
     program for master applicants.
     9. A certified copy of bachelor and master degree for PHD applicants.
     10. The applicant’s academic record of the courses taken during the
     master program for PHD applicants.
     11. A copy of family income certificate certified by the Moroccan
     consular center where the applicant belongs.
    How to apply:
        Moroccan students resident abroad in an underprivileged social
situation and who want to benefit from one of the scholarships mentioned
above should give their application files with the specified documents to the
Moroccan diplomatic or consular centers they belong to in the host countries,
which will be sent to the Ministry in Charge of the Moroccan Community
Resident Abroad.
    Selection of applicants:
       Application files will be preselected and final applicants benefiting from
the scholarship will be determined by a joint committee constituted of the
Ministry in Charge of the Moroccan Community Resident Abroad and the
Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research.
      The deadline to accept all application files is 31 december2010.
